Art Cover

And I just put this here incase you want a new screensaver :)

Here's all about Glasslands

I know this is all old and stuff, I'm a little late, I only seen about the new novel !

When I first heard about it, I didn't look into it to much.
I was told that its set after Ghosts Of Onyx except with completely new characters. Which is somewhat true.

I didn't know that it picked up right were the previous left of.

So if I'm correct, it's being written by Karen Travis and it's set right after Ghosts of Onyx with all the same characters as the previous and some new characters aswell.

And it's out 25th October this year. So we're going to find out what happened to Halsey and the other Spartans.

Frank O Connor, said that he was paying close attention to what Karen was writing, does this mean that somewhere in 343's new trilogy some of the Spartans are going to meet again ?

I hope so, it would be about time. I doubt Karen would leave Halsey and the Spartans in the middle of nowhere with no way of getting anywhere.
I hope not anyway.

So what do you think about what might happen in this new book ?

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

In all honesty we do now know exactly where GL will start; obviously it will be after the war but we do not know the extent of the characters or anything because i have yet to see a link saying blue team will be back. not that i am fully doubting it but i swear people can make up the most random hogposh out of a single sentence.

Really ?
I think everyone wants to see the return of blue team to the direct sequel to Ghosts Of Onyx, and when it was said that characters from GOO would be in GL, everyone presumed that blue team would make an appearance, which honestly, I'm sure they will. I don't think that you would write a sequel to a book with a massive cliff hanger and then not write anything about it.

But that's just what I think.

The book isn't a direct sequel though hence it not being GoO2 which is way the idea is out of hand. it is to cover the events post war i don't understand how a full story of blue team would really fit with explaining everything else unless it is a short chapter for ether story which would be highly stupid.

They aren't even on the cover, and normally if the book was about something or someone they or something related to them would be on the cover at the least.

I'm looking forward to it. Even though it's not a strict sequel to Ghosts of Onyx, anything even along those lines is worth buying, seeing as Ghosts of Onyx was by far my favorite novel.

And the release date is pretty convenient as well. The autumn will be for Glasslands, and then Primordium for the winter.

I wouldn't use the cover art to make assumptions, because the interpretation of the cover can be quite different. For example, you could see possibly two major characters on the front, or the cover could be a largely symbolic representation of humanity and the Sangheili's relationship post-war.

I didn't think that art cover was final, I thought it was just there for the sake of being there, when you go online to order it, there's no picture of the actual book, and I presumed that the already release art piece was basically just one of the art pics that was drawn for it.

Hell I could draw the art piece that I linked. Even though I'm a very good artist, I personally think I could draw a better front cover, and the picture was infact drawn by an artist at Bungie, which surprised me to be honest.

I can't wait!

Every cover art we have been shown was always said "not to be final" and it always has been.

To be fair though, all the art work for the other books is amazing, GOO, the Cole Protocol, The fall of reach. I think the new one isn't as good as some of the others to be honest, but I suppose that's not what's important about the book.
