The other titles your mentioned tended to have a lot more tape and bubble wrap than Halo 2. What I mean is that the increase of pixels, detailing, feats, etc. are multipliers to the decrease in game play speed. While you could get out of the maps, and thus, venture unto greater distances in Halo 2, the larger area does not mean the larger mission area.
The other titles shrank in game speed as well as size. The one thing the had greater was supplemental data. While my personal opinion is against it, this data explains why those games hinder your progress. That all sounds good to me but what I want to know is why the 360 loads H2 a lot slower than the original box, a lot slower. I thought newer equipment would mean faster processing but I'm guessing I'm missing something.
