Subject: So I just finished reading Ghost of Onyx...

And now I'm the most flipping confused I have ever been...

First of all what the hell Blue Team is still around after the fall of Reach? I was lead to believe that chief was the only Spartan left alive period...

Second, why didn't Kurt put a timer on the nuke and jump through the portal? AND HE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE FLIPPING MJOLNIR ARMOR, HE WOULD HAVE SURVIVED A LOT LONGER AND HAVE BEEN A LOT MORE USEFUL, SCREW FITTING IN WITH YOUR SPARTAN III'S LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT!!!!! >.<

Third, Halsey steals a Spartan and a ship? Not surprised...

Fourth, where the fudge of the Spartans from Reach from? If the Spartan III program only had three generations which were Alpha which all died, Beta which all died but Tom and Lucy who now is a mute, which only leaves one option and that is Gamma which were teens if that at the time of the fall of Reach and the Spartans from Reach definitely weren't teens...

"It will not be we who reach Alpha Centauri, and the other nearby stars, it will be a species very like us, but with more of our strengths and fewer of our weaknesses, more confident, far-seeing, capable, and prudent. For all our failings, despite our limitations and fallibilities, we humans are capable of greatness."-Carl Sagan

1: Did you read first strike?
2: He was injured, and was suffering internal bleeding. Biofoam was the only thing keeping him alive.
3: Yet again read First Strike.
4: Are you talking about the Spartans from Halo:Reach? If so I believe Carter, Emile, and Jun? were taken from Alpha Company before they all went on that mission. I'm not familiar with the backgrounds of the Jorge, Kat, and 6.

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

1. Read First Strike.

2. Someone had to make sure the Covenant didn't somehow breach the portal to the Micro Dyson Sphere. I also seem to recall he was injured. As for him using SPI instead of MJOLNIR, he did it so he could be closer to his Spartan-IIIs, unity was a big deal for him. I'm sorry you can't comprehend something like that.

3. It's in First Strike.

4. Gamma just shipped out after Reach fell.

Wouldn't the Chief had found out that his team was still alive when he returned from the ring and continue commanding them instead of Fred?

It's in First Strike, go read that book and come back when you aren't as stupid.

I can comprehend that I just see survival as a much higher priority.

You comprehend it, yet make a huge deal about it? He taught his IIIs to be a team, making himself different would break that lesson and just cause more trouble. He's a highly trained Spartan-II, I don't think it matters what armor he wears. He survived just fine until the end.

Shape Up or Ship Out*

1. Blue team was able to get off the planet after being rescued by the chief after he blew up the first halo.

2. He was barely alive only surviving off of biofoam and just plain bad@$$ery also he chose the SPI armor because he had to lead his spartan III's by example so they still had a leader they recognized. i would have preferred the MJOLNIR armor though.

3. End of first strike cause Halsey wanted to save one of her spartans after feeling guilt in having lost most of her spartans.

4. They are from ALPHA company they were the best cadets that kurt made sure did go on the suicide mission.

I just feel the casualty list wouldn't have been so large and and plus there was numerous references to the Mjolnir armor being better than the SPI armor making him stronger so he could better face the hunter who blasted Holly and he was part of Blue Team as well until reassigned and they worked just as fine as a team like when Kelly and Sabre Team took down the sentinel. I also still wished Kurt had survived, he was a good fighter and Halsey had said she could operate on him and possibly save him.

Against the Hunter, it probably wouldn't make a difference. Holly was vaporized, but Will, another Spartan-II, got blasted and died too. SPI is better than MJOLNIR, but there were no funds to give over 300 Spartans MJOLNIR.

Wasn't Kurt however one of the strongest Spartans which could have given him the extra strength to hold that hunter instead of it slinging him and backing up to fire. Will and Kurt still did a good job against hunters though.

He wasn't one of the strongest, he had a knack to predict when trouble was about to happen. And yeah, Will did a good job against the Hunters...but he still died.

I thought we was similar to John, one of the best in everything but he had something special which was his knack to predict trouble like John had his luck.

Fred is the one who was second bets at about everything but could be the best, but he didn't like attention. All this stuff is in this book and the other books, give them a read.

Oh, just got that one confused. I have read Fall of Reach, Contact Harvest, and Cole Protocol but however I should have read First Strike before this one however I don't have a list of books to get in order by timeline like I want. Question though, does Blue Team, Halsey, and Mendez ever get out of the shield world or is that known to us yet?

I don't think we'll ever find out then, it seems the books are making a turn to the Forerunner saga which I'm saving for last.

I have to agree, I wish he had put it on, he would have possibly survived! He isn't Spartan III, take that SPI crap off and put on real armor.
