Okay, so I think most would agree that the weapons have gotten worse and worse throughout the Halo series, I mean, the game is still really fun, but the new weapons have lulled the gameplay, made it more frustrating to kill someone, and made other weapons like power weapons (rocket launcher and sniper) dominate the game too much.
So if you could make any changes to the weapons in the UNSC arsenal, what would they be? Guns or other weapons can be included from other games, books, or created.
For me:
Assault Rifle- name it the MA5, 42 round magazine instead of 32, just as powerful as the Halo 3 version, larger aiming reticle similar to Halo: CE reticle for the assault rifle, same longer range as Halo 3 version, and roughly the same rate of fire.
Battle Rifle- faster 3-round burst for better grouping over longer distances, 3x zoom instead of 2x. 3 3-round bursts and one round from the 4th 3-round burst to the head to kill, so 10 rounds.
Magnum: 10-round magazine, 4 headshots required for kill, 2x zoom scope, slightly faster than BR (for each 3-round burst)
Shotgun: 8-round magazine, same range and power as Halo: CE version.
Sniper Rifle: basically the same as Halo 3 version.
Rocket Launcher: basically the same as the Halo: CE version
Grenade Launcher: no bouncing grenade, more range and arc of grenade, more user-friendly, but requires direct hit for kill.
Spartan Laser: 5-burst battery, same power as Halo: Reach.
M99 Stanchion Gauss Rifle: 1 shot anywhere for kill, charges up similar to the MAC gun at the end of Halo: Reach.
NA4 Flamethrower: no 3rd person view carry, first person, move at same speed, but is less powerful, but has slightly more range.
No bloom on weapons, just slight recoil
