In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I spend almost my entire time on bnet in private groups. I ran two groups that had over 1200 members (One with 2000 at the time), i've lead multiple (at least 5) smaller groups. I've gelled a team together from opposing (dam near warring) groups on bnet into an alliance in an online strategy game. Which i believe is still running (Over 3 years after i left it).
I certainly know a fair amount about the structure and processes involved in using groups here on bnet.
I know many people that ONLY post in groups, so why should groups not get many updates/less features?
Why would they get any MORE features? The group is a sub forum, essentially. If i can't PM all my members easily, can I simply not create a news item that the members who frequent will see if I want to contact them?
If they don't visit regularly what use are they, or is it the numbers that count?
The best groups that originated on Bnet have always grown out of these forums. Thats the natural progression of the groups with any real quality.
Again, I wouldn't worry about what you can't do on here. Look elsewhere, groups on bnet have twiter accounts, youtube channels. They broaden their horizons, you should too.
Just becuase the web team does improvements on groups doesn't mean they can't work on the rest of Bungie.net.
I don't see the big deal in trying to improve the group experience.
I like groups, I like the idea of making a sub forum with people of similar interests.
But, groups are part of Bungie.net and should not be eliminated from change.
I mean, if the mains are getting improved, why leave groups in the dark when like you said, thousands of people use groups.
