Edit: I noticed the poll was cut off. Here is its full question: Do any of the groups you are in have a "second group" for only the mods and admins?

***Please do not vote unless you know what the question means, or have read this post and now understand it***

Many of the groups I am in do this, and I was curious of how many groups in all of bungie perform this. Based on the bungie moderator group, HFCS, multiple groups that I know of have a second group, or a "council." Just like the HFCS this group is only for moderators and admins. It is where the higher members talk freely about how to improve the group, what members are getting close to crossing the line, and who of those members are exeptional and deserve promos. Usually only groups with over forty members do this, and like always, I was wondering. So here is the question being adressed: How many groups are you in that have a council? How many of these "mod groups" are you in?

I'm in one. Mainly you talk about who should get promoted, settle disputes, and get togather to vote and see if something someone did is ban worthy. The group is basically dead.

that sounds like a stupid idea, if you need to talk to other members away from your group, there's always the PM system.

No, because it's stupid.

You should be talking about what you plan for your group in full view of your members. The only reason we have our private group is so that we can receive top secret communication from Bungie HQ. And to talk about you behind your back.

Yes. I'm in one of those groups for a 300+ member group. We keeptrack of members and select Moderators in it. We use it to coardinate with eachother so the group runs smoothly for the members.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

We use MSN to keep in contact as well as PM's. No need for a second group in my opinion.

Not really. It's more of something used to improve groups.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Well when MBT started to get tons of members we made one, We used it alot back in the day, but now its used more to talk about how to handle certain toruble makers and promotions.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

If we hadn't lost the ability to make certain posts only viewable by certain members of a certain security role, people wouldn't have to make these admin groups. Back in the day when you made a topic in the forum you could make it so that regular members couldn't see it. You CAN still do this, however this option is only available when writing Articles. It's very strange.

Why was the ability taken away?

P.S. Yes in ODST Recon we have a group like that, it works rather well, but a month back it used to be a freakin soap opera, until we flupped someone.

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

What a waste of group space...of course, I haven't left any groups in like 7 months, so I'm probably in some Staff group or another. Meh.
