Hi,
I've read in FAQ (http://www.bungie.net/help/content.aspx?link=bungienet_help# _2) that there is no way for me to automatically migrate my Halo gamertag on Bungie.net to my new Windows live ID. (In game it does not appear to be a problem, I am logged in with my new Live ID and my spartan is still there.) I want to create a new account on Bungie.net with my old gamertag, but of course the gamertag is already taken by me. Can I (or you) delete my account here on Bungie.net so that I create it anew, with my new Live ID and my old gamertag?

Magic is magical, so are shoes... Along with plastic.
Don't forget to flush the toilet, because -blam!- stinks.

You can change the live ID thats linked with your Xbox account within the xbox yourself. Not sure on the exact directions, but I remember it being pretty easy. switch your GT's email to your new one, then link to B.net.

That's what I did. I have a new Live ID e-mail, I changed it in xbox easily, but to log into Bungie.net I still need my old Live ID e-mail. I'd like to delete my previous Live ID completely and not use it anymore, but apparently I still need to use it for this website. Unless of course I don't log in for a very long time, according to the FAQ. I wish I could delete my account at Bungie.net and create a new one for my gamertag without waiting so long (three months? a year?).

I just want to create a new Bungie account that would have my new Live ID, my spartan and my gamertag's name vashko. There's no spartan attached to the old live ID anymore, only the name, but when I try to create a new Bungie account for the new Live ID and for my old name, it says "This login name is not unique, please choose another."

ok, I went through the same thing you did, but I transferred my new account's GT to my older one (this one), I encountered no problems through it. B.net recognized my GT wasn't under a newer account of mine, and made the immediately.

Your problem is that you need to make a unique name for B.net (eg Vashk0 or vashko1 etc etc) and the GT switch will be made! (your GT will remain the same, only your username will change)

Thanks! Yeah, it seems that registering a new bungie.net login name is the easiest solution. But it's hard to believe that deleting the old one isn't possible. I've sent an e-mail to the webmaster a couple of days ago, but no reply yet.

Does anyone know how long it takes for an inactive account to be deleted automatically?

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Looks like you guys got everything situated out, did you run into any troubles vashko?

Well, before the feature was turned off, one year. As for what it is now, I couldn't tell you the circumstances for account deletion, if any even exist.
