What's your thought process? Do you think 'HEY I CAN MAKE SOMETHING CONTROVERSIAL THAT WILL GET ATTENTION?' or do you just have honest questions? Are you throwing into the endless circle of discussion here or bringing something new to the table?

Shoot.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

Title made me think this was a joke thread.

I usually do something overinformative, but you can get a lot of success making an attention-grabbing title using words like "sucks" or "best" or "!!!!!".

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I don't usually make threads, but when I do, it's usually something I find interesting that I want to share on The Flood, or an idea I had that I want to share on The Community.

Aye - the problem is you can't use any of the text formatting on the title alone.

The only time I make a thread is when I have a genuine question regarding something. I've only made maybe a handful of threads the entire time I have been here on Bnet.

I rarely make them, when I do they have a purpose, but I never go on with the intention of making one, they are just ideas that I think of while I'm browsing.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

Most of the threads I make are in the Universe forum. So they're always about trying to start discussion.

I hardly ever make threads, but when I do it is if I notice something I find interesting, or if I have a question.

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

In the community? It's usually waiting until an issue makes me angry enough to focus on some good talking points. If I can find a problem on this site, and address it from a bitterly sarcastic reference point that at least makes me laugh, then I'll post the thread.

If I don't get people to see how utterly ridiculous it would be to allow the problem to continue, then my post has failed (although the ones I'm most proud of have been locked relatively quickly - granted that was under the "old" rules).

When I create a thread I usually have a question to ask the forum-goers.

  • 07.24.2011 2:46 PM PDT

"I'm afraid of the man I'll become if I lay my life down for the people I don't even care for"

It's usually a question

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

I don't create threads unless I have a legitimate question, would like to get a sense of what the community average is, or feel it's necessary to point something out that's gone unnoticed.

I try to make something that I know people will comment on and that's original. IE:Not the 124th thread of AL.

What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

Normally I only do it to ask a question I don't know the answer to. I rarely make threads though, I lurk and reply a lot.

Woke up to the best place ever; my bedroom. *Turns on Xbox 360*
No, no, no, NO | Infinite Armor Lock?

Threads I make usually involve a question. It usually goes by a background story, followed by the scenario that I'm confused about (usually with some sort of media to back up with), and then ask the question in a straight-forward fashion.
