Subject: Canon Error regarding the Brutes?

In Halo: Reach we see Brutes with advanced weapons and some even have energy shielding. In Halo 2 the Brutes had no advanced weaponry, and when they did it was usually Elite weapons. In Halo 2 they had somewhat primitive weaponry due to the fact that the Brutes were not very high in Covenant society.

The Prophets armed the Brutes with advanced technology after the Great Schism in the Covenant, did they not?

It makes sense how the Brutes were like barbarians with primitive weapons in Halo 2.

It makes sense that the Brutes had advanced armament in Halo 3.

It does not make sense that Brutes had advanced tech in Halo: Reach because they didn't in Halo 2 and they were a low class in the Covenant.

Opinions?

Different clans of Brutes have different technology.

The Brute Honor Guards were no different from the rest. I'm pretty sure that's one of the highest classes.

I said clans, some clans of Brutes are really into the Covenant and keep themselves all tidied up and embrace the technology of the Forerunners. Other clans are more savage in nature and prefer using their own hands to ripe enemies apart.

I'm willing to wager Tartarus' clan was the main one on High Charity.

Yeah, also clans and tribes mean the basic same thing.

Also, Brutes had power armor at Harvest, the first battle of the war.

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

They where a very diffrent clan of brutes. The Reach group may have been more monastic being shaved with forerunner symbols tatooed onto their bodies. The clan that Tartarus leads could be a traditionalist group.

Not really what I got from Stomping on the Heels of a Fuss. In all honesty, Tartarus' Brutes seemed more savage than the Halo 3 or Reach Brutes. They wore no armor and used human weapons.

Head Down/ Chin Up!

In Halo 2, we only really saw them onboard High Charity! I dont think they really needed to be fitted out with heavy weapons!

In Halo 3 they were the power, and had the armoury at their disposal!

In Reach, they were equipped with weaponary to fit their station - below Elites, used to ravage towns and cities!

I think the Brutes that embrace the technological advancements would be far more superior to the Brutes that don't. What do you guys think?
