Prove it. Cause I can rove my point.

Spartan II's were given an extreme amount of steroids and other chemicals for their augmentations. Guess what steroids don in extreme amounts? In men sperm production ceases. In women they become infertile. So, prove me wrong.
Oh and don't just say Wrong. It makes you look like an idiot

They get a reduced sex drive. That isn't infertility. Give me YOUR source that says "Spartans are infertile".

Oh yeah, btw Spartan males do not produce sperm and Spartan de las are infertile.

Spartans are not infertile. There's even Maria, who retired early to have a family. And I'm damn well sure she didn't retire to raise a house of adopted earthborn kids.

We actually don't know anything about her family or what it is comprised of. So for all we know thatbis exactly what happened.

If she can have kids, why adopt?

Cause, y'know, they kept giving them steroids for the rest of their lives, besides, it was a growth hormone, not necessarily steroids.

Sorry pal, bat at no point is it ever mentions that steroids were part of the chemical augmentation process. And it did not make them sterile, at worst it eliminated the desire for sex, which when combined with their training would make it unlikely they would ever create a child, it's not impossible.

I hate Halo wikis, but this has the list of Spartan augmentations.

Nowhere does it state Spartans become infertile.

Catalytic Thyroid Implant:
A platinum pellet is implanted in the left thyroid gland, this pellet contains a human growth hormone that is released into the body to boost growth of skeletal and muscle tissues. As the hormone is released into the body the pellet dissolves and is absorbed. The hormone targets and stimulates the growth of fast and slow twitch muscle fibers, effectively producing significant gains in muscle mass. The hormone also targets osteoblasts to help boost bone tissue formation and effectively strengthen the bone structure.

Muscular Enhancement Injections:
In addition to the growth hormone catalyst a protein complex is injected intramuscularly that targets the muscles intracellular molecular machinery to help increase muscle strength and endurance. These injections target the muscles molecules increasing the density of the connective tissues and fibers the more visible result being the muscles quivering and contorting over one another making connecting tendons stronger and decrease lactase recovery time.

Do you see the word steroids?

I gave you the list of augmentations which comes with sources. Just goes to show you better know your stuff before telling others they are wrong. Makes you look like an ass.

Yes they actually did use steroids. And those steroidneffects were permanent if you take steroids thebeffects on your body are temporary your muscle mass will increase and you will gain athletic ability but if you stop taking them the effects do go away. But we are the the far far future. Medical technology is extremely advanced the effects ofnthese were permanent. If you canbringnme a passage from one of the halo booksnor a script from bungie that says they used growth hormones instead of steroids then please prove me wrong.please if I am mistaken an you have credible proof then post it, if I a, wrong then I would like to know

The only instance of the use of steroids on a Spartan was when Kelly had 90-ish% of her body burned with plasma and it was just a single treatment, and like you said, it's the future, they could have created a type of steroids that does not make women infertile.

You just voided your own argument buddy.

Yes thank you. While I enjoy being right if I am proven wrong I'll take it. We are all still learning.

I only recall Spartans having their sex drive repressed, nothing about having them impaired.

About the child...I'd be careful near the baby.

No, we already know this stuff, you were just too stupid to do your own research and were so bullheaded when we told you that you were wrong, you made yourself look like an idiot.

Uh, how about no? If someone wants to say I'm wrong and they don't tell me why and remain ignorant when proof is provided, I'm not going to be so nice.

  • 07.25.2011 8:03 PM PDT

You were ragging on him out of the gate. He admited he was wrong, let it go.

Nah, if someone doesn't want to do the research then why should I be nice? It's nice he admitted he was wrong, but this could've all been avoided had he done the research.

Next time make sure the facts are on your side before trying to tell others they look like idiots. Otherwise, when you're proven wrong, you become an even bigger one.

I said you looked bad because you just said "wrong" without giving any reason what so ever why.
