They are equal. But again, do we need another S-II vs S-III thread?

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

seriously, i know you have been around to see several of these threads and we don't need everybody arguing over another. If not use the search bar because it isn't like this has never been brought up.

Nobody reply to this so we can avoid fighting each other AGAIN *rolls eyes and sighs*

"On the seventh day, god did not rest, but rather he created 64 player multiplayer!"

I think we should fight each other again... 3, 2, 1, GO!

"It will not be we who reach Alpha Centauri, and the other nearby stars, it will be a species very like us, but with more of our strengths and fewer of our weaknesses, more confident, far-seeing, capable, and prudent. For all our failings, despite our limitations and fallibilities, we humans are capable of greatness."-Carl Sagan

2's anyone arguing different is brain dead. The 3's in Reach are far more bad ass then the ones in the books and Reach is a game that broke several other canon points...

show me im wrong

The only 3's that came close to 2's were headhunters and they fought in teams of 2 not 5. Also since when do 2's and 3's fight together?

Well, considering their augmentations are identical, but just through different means, their only difference is armor. Give a S-III MJOLNIR and they would perform just as well as a S-II.

Or how about you understand what each class was made for and their differences before coming up with an illogical conclusion.

Doesn't matter, if you make a claim, you have to back it up.

I am.
Also where did you guys hear they got the same augmentation? My understanding was they got a different one that, while weaker, made it so it could be given to a wider ranger of people.

This

In my eyes, Gamma Company was probably the only Spartan III class that could outclass the Spartan II's. Even Kurt named them "Best Spartan's Ever". I'll take his word for it.

Besides armor, there are also subtle, yet important pieces of their training that are different. Spartan 2's are, by far, much more disciplined and focused. Spartan 3's seem to be much more opinionated, and reckless... That's not good for survival, which, obviously, they haven't been very successful at.

They only really perished when faced with overwhelming odds.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Spartan II's because Mjolnir was standard issue among them instead of the SPI armour. Also they are larger and stronger, which I suppose is really only a small bonus since it's the difference between being able to crush steel and being able to crush steel harder. But still.

Spartan III training was designed to be better in tactics, teamwork, and strategies.

They would use those to complete objectives, not fancy gear.

I don't get this super-reckless stuff...
