Does the Master Chief die at the end of the new trilogy?
I mean,in my opinion, if he DOES NOT die, then how could he even truly live, as he was bred for combat, and doesn't know/really remember a life without war. If 343i decides to let him live, then is that a feel-good ending, or just leaving the franchise open to milk it until it becomes the new Star Wars. Feel free to post your opinion!

Personally...He needs to die, one way or the other he isn't going to live forever, he will die protecting the galaxy.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Why ask a stupid question? Nobody but 343 knows.

Im txgrim4 (Grim, Grimmy, Grimsta), i have been playing xboxlive for 9 years, evr since day 1 of Halo:CE til now. I live in Texas, Play Football, and cant wait for Halo 4!

I hope not, but he probally will, not in a bad bloody manor way, but a peaceful, honorable way

"It will not be we who reach Alpha Centauri, and the other nearby stars, it will be a species very like us, but with more of our strengths and fewer of our weaknesses, more confident, far-seeing, capable, and prudent. For all our failings, despite our limitations and fallibilities, we humans are capable of greatness."-Carl Sagan

Him dying is too predictable in game.

I'd like it if he was dying and we never see his death.

He could become a God like Durandal and Cyborg-guy from Marathon

It's just speculation. If Halo doesn't end here, with no more MC in a titular role, then I'm a little worried that Halo will sell-out (I'm sure YOU were even a little pissed off about Halo 3 having a cliffhanger). Bungie stated that the future of Halo is in our hands, maybe not directly, but certainly as a guiding force. I want to know how the other fans feel about it, and if they're willing to end the series with the death of MC if it means a conclusive ending. I'm not saying MC needs to die, but I'm not sure how the story should proceed with him rising out of the ashes once again. I just hope it ends well...BTW, there's no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid answers.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

I hope he has a death that is as bad as his overrated-ness, that will make me happy.

Master Chief won't die. If he did in that moment of the teaser than there would be no point to continue the trilogy. Besides, Master Chief is the REAL money-maker of the game. There's no way I would buy Halo 4 if they killed the Chief in the beginning of the game.

Let me clear this up one more time: I mean he dies at the END of Halo 6, or whatever they decide to call it. Heck, if he doesn't meet up with the rest of Blue team in the Dyson Sphere, then they could start up a new series. Even though that sounds a little weird, people are willing to pay for more Halo-related games. I know it will never be the same without MC, but it would be for the best if he wasn't the main character for newer titles after Halo 6 (if they decide to take it farther). Even though I didn't want LoTR to end, I knew it had to, for the sake of the story's integrity and beauty. The same should be done for MC and the original Halo storyline.
