Forever a fan of Halo when Bungie was in charge.

I think they tried to make it so that if you have a high rank, it means your good, and you earned it. But if you don't it might mean your decent? They weren't that bad in my opinion.
To be honest I think most Ranks are a joke
High Rank or not it takes the same amount of bullets to kill them, this isnt an RPG. Lvling up doenst make anyone better perse, it just shows the time put into the game. Even with H3 thats mostly true.
True high rank takes the same amount of bullets to kill, but can you hit me with them bullets is the question. an expierenced player will know how to strafe good and attempt to make you miss shots while he is consistantly hitting you, if anybody here really thinks experience isn't FOR THE MOST PART an indicator of skill, i would be glad to get on Halo 3 for a 1v1 and we can see how people stack up. Halo: Reach is bad, im constantly seeing complaints about this inheritor "F a lI c o n" on forums talking about he's a nerd but when in fact his just BAD. hes only positive K/Ds are with vehicals and his DMR spread is in the NEGATIVE THREE THOUSANDS, hes a grade 2 Brigadier on Halo 3. "nuff said" quite honestly, Halo 2 and Halo 3 rank system > Halo: Reach ranksx10. Halo: Reach ranks are just an indicator of time played for the most part and not skill. Just look at F a lI c on for example... NINETY TWO days played in just matchingmaking, nerd? but most of his weapons have negative K/D spreads while all he his good with is spawn killing with a banshee in big team battle.
