Do you think there's any possibility that Master Chief will come into contact with The Spirit of Fire? It's reasonably plausible considering that the ship would have been making its way back to UNSC space for around 20 years. I really hope this does happen, considering I thought that Captain Cutter and Professor Anders were great characters, and due to Prof Anders' extensive knowledge of alien technology it would appropriate considering there's speculation that the planet Master Chief is about to make contact with is a forerunner planet. So yeah, anyone think the same or have their own theory/hope for the Spirit of Fire?

I think grey's gonna crack soon if he sees another topic like this.

And apart from Halo Wars 2, I can't fathom how 343 is going to squeeze 3 Spartans IIs into a Halo FPS game.

*Sigh* Like poy said i am starting to crack.

Frankie said there are no plans for to explain what happened to the SoF yet. He also said that they are not going to be in the new trilogy, but he did say they would like to explain what happened with them and that it would be fun.

Yes, that's what I was implying. To be blunt I completely missed the part in the OP where he was talking about Halo 4 - as I quickly skimmed over it. :)

They need to revive Ensemble Studios but this time, under the umbrella of Activision.

Wait, what?

Why would Microsoft let anything Halo-related go under Activision?

Most of the employees of Ensemble Studios went to a new company, Robot Entertainment. They've said in their forums numerous times that they won't be returning to the Halo universe to make Halo Wars 2. Ever.

But now that I've read your comment, I realise you were probably trolling. :)

I think it had something to do with new company = new games.

They basically said they won't be making Halo Wars 2, and only Microsoft can decide if there will ever be one.

Here is a quote from an employee.

I thought I responded to this, but I guess not. So... we don't actually control Halo Wars in any way, shape or form. Microsoft owns the Halo IP. They decide what future games come in that franchise, and who will work on them. If you do want Halo Wars 2, though, the place to let MS know is over at HaloWars.com message forums, now operated by 343 Industries.

And there is another one where he says that they won't be returning to it or something. I'll fish through the forums for it in a second.

I think we should launch Bill Gates into the sun with Bungie's catipult.

NOW IS THE TIME TO REBEL!!!

Burn them all! Burn them all to the ground!

It will be interesting to find out how 343 finishes The Spirit of Fire's story though. However long it takes them to do it..

Couldn't happen cos the spirit of fire already got back. Look pn the Halo Wars timeline it says at one point that the UNSC changed the Spirit's status from missing to lost with all hands and that they were very secretive as to why. Most likely they found it and the crew were hidden away and the ship destroyed due to the sensative nature of their dissapearance. Also to hide the fact that the Covenant had come so close to getting enough fire power to destroy the human race.
