I think so, it seems like a way to advertise someone's auction. Also it should be a seven day ban, because most auctions expire within seven day.

Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off.

Yes please report my post. Why not just call me out in my own topic...

It's not my auction, b.net members please use a little common sense.

EDIT: nvm. I see you changed your OP in your thread.

OT: I think the moderators should decide whether to ban or not.

because it was the first one I saw, and I didn't think to post all of them. I edited my post already because everyone feels the need to jump to conclusions.

I'm so sorry I didn't think that I would be attacked.

@smellierjeans,
I didn't intend upon singling you out. But anyone linking to an ebay auction is inheritly advertising for that auction. As the saying goes "any publicity is good publicity".

While I'll admit that it was your post that started me thinking about this topic. I didn't post a response in your thread, because I felt it didn't coinside with your topic.

Imo, if people want to discuss the validity of people selling bags on ebay, they should be able to do this without linking to the actual auction. I'm sure if people cared enough, they are more than capable of doing their own ebay search.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

I think it technically already is, if you're advertising or promoting it.

By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using a Communication Service, you will not:
...
Advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose, unless such Communication Service specifically allows such messages.

In other words, it already is.

Is there an echo in here?

I once saw a ninja do it, to simply answer a guys question on where to find an original copy of Halo CE for the Mac. But if they are actually linking to answer someones question then it should be fine, but if the sole point is to give them publicity then I'd suggest a ban.

If someone is explicitly trying to promote an auction or product, then its against the rules. If they are just using it as an example in a discussion, its alright.

Its really not enough to warrant a ban unless they continue doing so after being told not to.
