Yeah, I've HLG'd before. It's actually pretty fun and funny to see people walk right by you and not notice.
The best playlist to do this on was Team Doubles. In fact, a tactic way up in the higher ranks was to gain the lead, then one player quit leaving just the one player hiding. I had this done many times to me.
But I also found that if my team-mate quit, I never hid. I always went out fighting due to some need to play the game. Even if I was in the lead, I still went out, to give the players a chance. I can't abide people who will do anything to win. Its a shooting game, not a hiding game.
That sir was EXACTLY my argument against my friends who HLGed. But of course since I only had a 30 in Lone Wolves my opinion didn't matter to them.
They were "H3 Kids" through and through. Never played Halo 1 or 2 before, didn't like Reach because they had to relearn everything since it wasn't like Halo 3. Hated Halo Wars. Now they are hoping that Halo 4 is exactly like Halo 3. I hope it's not and I want to see if the leave the Halo series.
Point is it's people who quit because of ranks & exp, boosters, and derankers that ruined Halo 3 for me. It devolved into a business where people would offer to boost for MS points. Sad really. It got so annoying I moved onto COD with MW2. Then I learned the REAL meaning of raging...lol
