Make someone pay for an internet forum, and you'll see just how far their "loyalty" goes.

This idea won't happen, it is completely ludicrous.

Why the new account? Permabanned?

EDIT - Oh, and there isn't a flood problem, the flood is the flood, if you don't like the nature of the forum, don't go in there, stop trying to fix it.

Spam and shock sites are everywhere, it is your responsibility to avoid them. (protip: it isn't hard to mouse over a link and see where it leads before you click)

NO.

Having to pay to use a public forum would be like instating a public park tax.

I'd be gone along with a lot of the users on this site.

Evading a ban to talk about how moderation is slacking seems funny to me.

As for your idea I don't like it at all. Paying to use a forum just because a handful of users of said forum aren't abiding by the rules or whatever seems incredibly extreme.

Imo, I'd rather be taxed than to have a forum that is filled with spam and shock sites.

Then you're part of a very small margin.

Sometimes extreme situations mean extreme measures need to be taken. What do you suggest? That Achronos pick more moderators?

If I recall correctly he once posted that more moderators were needed, or more ways to moderate were needed, but not more ninjas.
I'll try find the post...

But whatever that means, I'll go with that.

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

Bungie will not suppress their community like this. Bungie, in my opinion, (and many others') truly cares about their community and wants them to be heard. It's a key reason as to why they are one of the best video game developers in the world.

Maybe I am being a bit extreme. Perhaps they could require some proof of ID? So that only people 18 and older can use these forums.

Impractical. How would such a thing be instated? Or enforced?

Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!

Are you kidding me? Only people 18 and older? That would eliminate 2/3 of the posters on these forums!

OP, your suggestions, especially the tax one (which is absolutely ludicrous) are bad.

All counter-arguments to evolution are based on a gross misunderstanding of the theory.

Okay even I can tell this is a bad idea.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I'm pretty sure it's not him, he didn't say please discuss and thank you, he simply said discuss. Plus I doubt he would do anything to make his ban longer.

This may sound extreme, but they could use your SSN or ask for your driver's license number.

How about your PIN number, too?

Because that is a better idea, right? If someone links their ID or proof of age to their account and it gets hacked, it would be bad. Which in my opinion is why I don't use paypal anymore(too much information easily accessible).

You may as well be the real spartain ken because that idea sucks.

Ah, seemed pretty real to me.
