I was wondering how feasible this idea would be. It seems that quite a few people will troll a single forum religiously, but in another will be the unofficial forum cop. By creating this option for our moderators we can keep some legitimate posters who do some trolling on the side.

Please discuss and thank you.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

No.

Why allow someone to continue posting when they've broken the universal rules?

Is such a thing common?

Also, when you say legitimate posters, what would you mean by those illegitimate?

I don't like this idea. If someone is trolling The Flood and then gets banned from The Flood, they could just move to another forum and start making troll threads again. If someone is trolling, they deserve to be banned from the public forums.

Feeding the trolls is bad as it is forum ninja's try to keep it to a low or non state it can only be stopped by blocking that user from posting aka a ban or sending them a warning.

You have lost me...

How can one be a "legitimate poster" if one breaks the rules at all? Why do those who break the law deserve further opportunities to continue such infractions? It may just be me, but this seems more of a debate on moral law and justice for something outside of a game developer's forums... am I mistaken?

As always, please take kindly what I say, I do not mean any offense.

We could do this so people could post in the Flood, go troll the Reach forum, and then suffer no real consequences because they can go back to the Flood. I don't think so.

This. Simply doesn't seem like a good idea.

No. If you can't contribute properly in one forum, you have no business contributing in others.

They could just troll in another forum.

It just sounds like the trolls will just troll another forum. Basically, this would only move the problem to a different forum and cause more spam.
