When world domination is achieved, they each receive a country.

I think they get paid in the currency of BanHammers So they get really irritated when a member dosn't follow the rules and they will have to ban them useing the very stuff Bungie pays them with. However the only thing you can do with a BanHammer is ban people from Bungie. So you can't trade them in for rent or food or other important stuff (yes guys there are stuff more important than HAL0)

Yeah I know I don't pay bills. But when I do, I'll have to have an awesome job with an awesome boss that lets me moderate.

-TGP-

Hmmm...I don't know why I am getting this idea, but I should open an awesome business in Australia and be an awesome boss. Why am I getting this idea? It's a mystery...

hmmm... rope me in. logistically, its easier for me:)

Quick Question: Do you have to be a certain age to be a Mod?

No. TGP is the youngest at 15 I believe (unless his birthday has passed recently). I think Recon may be the oldest, but I don't know the ages of any of the other mods (though if my sources are correct, Toast is fairly young, I think 17).

If you have any questions about mods, most of them should be answered here.

How many times have we heard this before? (excluding the lip part)

Well basically, if you're a great member, and show responsibibity, common sense, and good knowledge of bungie, you get a PM asking you to be a mod. (There are more components, but I'll just give you the short version) If you say yes to the PM, you become a mod.

... ... Who said it? Arrg, I forgot. Anyway, some one with power on bungie said that they are not looking for any new moderators right now.

My bad. I guess its just that i figured that being chained up like that meant it was your job. I mean, sure, its not really a job, but not like you're doing anything else.

I'll say this, they absolutely should. There are no finer forum moderators on the entire world wide web than there are on Bungie.net.

Firmly places lips on bum.

Sigh. There can't ever just be respect for the moderators, can there? No, it's always arse-kissing and boot-licking. Seriously, what's your problem? Does the only contribution you make to a thread have to be derogatory to another member who is only offering support?

I respect the moderators as much as anyone else, maybe even more. That being said I fail to see how JAC6777's post supported anything in his own mind other than a swift promotion. I think it's cool when people appreciate what the mods do, I really do. Comments such as- "they do an extrordanarily fine job at what they do" I have absolutely no problem with. But sucking up as blatant as "There are no finer forum moderators on the entire world" I don't think should be met with a bag full of goodies.

As someone a lot smarter than I am once said, "Actions speak louder than words.". I have said earlier, what people should be focusing on is supporting and respecting the moderators through actually trying to follow forum rules, and not to mention, turning in the "bad guys" whenever you get the chance. I think that would be the greatest thing to do for 'em if if you really care about what they do, rather than some petty comment.

wth...you get paid by the hour? no salary?

And i'll bet that during the better part of their stay as mod's, at least 50% had or have jobs.

(11:50:56) stoczy: yea it doesn't work
(11:51:01) stoczy: i tried it lots of times
(11:51:08) sir_brilliant: wow...lmao

And also, he say's this:
(11:51:49) stoczy: tell em i'm fishing at the beach and don't have access

so he won't be around till he's back from vacation, just to let everyone know. He's busy fishing and bnet apparently doesn't like that. I guess he managed to escape the shackles and this is payback.

Taking into account the salary, depreciated value of the snacks, personal heating expenses (those 360 power supplies are expensive) and at this rate, Bungie will be broke by...... oh that's right, never.

I should have known you had a printing press set up in the back...
