Subject: Marathon - Lion OS

hey there,
i bought my first mac a couple of days ago and wanted to play marathon. downloaded aleph one and the gamefiles from bungie.org,
but i couldn't make it work.
first i tried to run the games as they were downloaded (=without aleph one), didn't work due to "classic mode not bein supported" [sic]. downloaded aleph one, didn't work either. i get an error message saying that i have to make sure the file "maps, images, ..., ..." need to be properly installed. i could swear they are, they even have that green aleph one symbol on them...

as i said - i'm a total noob on mac OS, any help would be appreciated.

Do you like Yax? I do.

Wrong forum. You would get more help here.

OT: You need to partition your hard drive and have both Snow Leopard and Lion on your Mac. This should help you partition you hard drive. Once you have everything done you can switch between Snow Leopard and Lion. When you're using Snow Leopard, use this tutorial and get Marathon.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

Wait, never mind.

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

It's off-site, but you should try the Phforums. There's probably a FAQ there somewhere...

Alternatively, you could follow Eraclio's advice.

No problem. And I forgot to mention, if your Mac came with Lion, you'll need to buy a Snow Leopard disc to install it on your partitioned drive. They are about $29.99.

This might be of interest if you don't want to install a separate partition:
