At one point in the prehistoric human civilization, the humans were allied with the San 'Shyuum. The humans were at par with the forerunners, and the San 'Shyuum were more technologicly advanced than the humans. I find it interesting that the prophets were once more advanced than the forerunners.

And how did they lose the war. They had to deal with the flood of course and 1/3 of the population died due to the artificially programed genes to target the flood. But they had an entire other species that was even more advanced as well.

I don't believe it said that humanity and the San'Shyuum were on par with the forerunners. I believe they were extremely advance but the forerunners were more so. I personally believe that the H-F war was a lot, in terms of technological strength similar to the H-C war. Perhaps H being more on par with F but not quite.

I'm not sure if it was on par or slightly less advanced, but I do know that the San 'Shyuum were more advanced than the humans, so they could be just as advanced as the forerunners or even more

You clearly skipped the chapter when didact himself said the humans were equal to them. but ofcourse him being forerunner threw and "almost" into it.

Gonna have to re read it again then. I still doubt they surpassed the forerunners. They may of been roughly equals, however there is no way they were more advanced.

where is that coming from? the forerunners and humans were equals hence why they had an empire and other races didn't which is why the forerunners de-evolved them out of spite.

forerunner power is exaggerated anyway

I believe at some point in the book it said that to some end the humans had been able to reverse-engineer some Precursor technology.

Mistook human for San'Shyuum on accident. I believe the humans were on par with the forerunners. Just had a smaller empire.

I believe so, if they did it was on the planet Charum Hakkor. One of the most plentiful planets with precursor technology in the galaxy, also where the "timeless one" was found.

This, besides, the only reason the Humans lost the war was because they were fighting it on two fronts. One with the Forerunners and one with the Flood.

Actually I believe they would of lost regardless. It is a accepted fact that the human empire was much smaller than the Forerunner Empire. Regardless of how powerful you are if your enemy keeps sending guys at you you're gonna fall eventually. The only reason they lasted 50 years at Charrum Hakkor was because they had the protection of the precursor ruins which couldn't be destroyed at the time by any Forerunner weapon.

Didact himself clearly says he doesn't know what it would have really been like if their goal was to attack the forerunners.

you need to re-read the book.

Humans at FULL population AND the intention of war would be war of galactic proportions.
