First of all, I personally have been trying to figure out the whole timeline for Reach, which accurately fits in both the game and the book. Is there one? Because to me it seems like there's waaaayyyy too many inconsistencies to even begin to map out the events in proper canonical chronology.

What the hell was the PoA doing on Reach when FoR readers know damn well it was dropping off the Spartans to two different missions before taking out a Covenant cruiser and fleeing normal space? In Halo Reach it was on the surface waiting for Noble 6 to deliver the package. That's point number one.

The Spartan in the cryo bay... is that John or Linda? Because Linda clinically dies on Gamma station and John has to take her back and put her in cryo on the PoA. But this then goes back to the first point; how is the PoA on the surface with whichever Spartan this is? Jesus everything was fine until this game came along.

Please someone talk to me here, and not just to tell me what a nerd I am for knowing this :) I've been waiting to clear this up for ages now and it's actually hurting now :D

Cheers.

Sorry mate, I'm rusty so I don't really remember. I just know Linda's ALIVE in ONYX with other Spartans. (I just finished GoO today.)
But I'll bump so maybe someone can help :)

Not really,

0616 Hours: The SPARTAN-IIs are dispatched from the Pillar of Autumn. John-117, Linda-058, and James form Blue Team and go aboard the Dock to destroy the Circumference, while the remaining SPARTAN-IIs form Red Team and head down to the surface of Reach to defend the power generators for the MAC guns.

0637 Hours: John-117, the clinically dead Linda-058, and the Marines board the Pillar of Autumn.

0647 Hours: The Pillar of Autumn attempts to retreat from the system, but remains there for unknown reasons and heads for a drydock at the Aszod ship breaking yards on Reach.

1652 hours: The Pillar of Autumn escapes and is pursued by a dozen Covenant vessels, retreats from the system, heading for Installation 04.

-----------------------------------------------------------

There are several hours it ended up staying, most likely for repairs after being hit by the Lightspeed Covenant weapon.

Yeah I just finished re-reading FoR last night to try and iron out some conflicts but it just created more by reminding me of things :D I know Linda's alive in the shield world now, but tFoR was a prequel so it could be either, back when she was dead (they revived her before GoO). Thanks for bumping anyways mate, much appreciated :D

0647 Hours: where in FoR does it say this? Or is there just a giant black spot where it doesn't explain anything so you can slot it in?

Thanks for replying.

EDIT: I'm looking at FoR now, and at 0647 hours the PoA is readying for a slipspace jump at the systems' edge, not heading back to Aszod on Reach.

It doesn't, this is just an excerpt from the Wiki which puts it at that point to fill in why it was still on Reach.

Oh ok doesn't matter I found it. Yeah it explains everything although it is patchy in the novel. But it'll do. Now the only other thing is the cryo tube... John or Linda?

If you played Halo : Combat Evolved then you would know about Johnson at the end of the Legendary ending which wasn't cannon.

Same thing for Halo : Reach. Master Chief being there in the cryo tube wasn't cannon. It was simply a way for Bungie to add in Master Chief as an easter egg
