I am solely interested in Co-op. Will there be a campaign Co-op in halo 2 exactly like there was in halo?

Oh and another question… Do you have to have Xbox Live to have a LAN party?

I have noticed a bad trend that all Mplayer options in new games require Xbox Live and only one player per Xbox.

( it had the little boxes with x'es in them showing what the game features.. and these were checked.. co op wasnt on the list but most people know that co op will be in the game)

Bungie would be stupid to not put Co-op back in Halo 2, and Bungie isn't stupid, if you know what I am saying. There will be 1-4 player Split-Screen offline and System-Link will return. I highly doubt that they will use the Headset apart from Xbox Live. No, you don't have to have Xbox Live to have a LAN.

bah

Let me put it this way, no co-op was the single biggest complaint that PC people had about Halo PC. I think Bungie picked upon that. :)

It has been confirmed by Pete Parsons in an interview with IGN that Co-op will be returning.

Q: Will there be Co-op on System link or Xbox Live?

A: Yes, there will be cooperative play, we have not said anything about Online.

Q: What about on System Link, or is that under guards.

A: Under Guards.

How do you figure? Frank just released the _beta_ versions of the box. The box hasn't even been made yet.

What are you talking about?

So as of know we do not know if Co-op will be in the game. I am not talking about system link or Xbox live. I am talking about Co-op like in Halo 1. 1 Xbox 1 game disc 2 controllers to players. Nothing more nothing less,

As I stated before I am petty. If this functionality is not in the game I will not purchase the game. So instead of having 2,000,000 sold you will have 1,999,999.

♠The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's friend's enemy♠

Ofcourse there will be Co-op on one Xbox, why would they take that awesome feature off?

ive seen a lot of articles that talk about how xbox wants less games with system link because they don't really make any money off it!!!

There is no way they would cut out system link. Lan parties are hugely popular with Halo even almost 3 years later. Though I will mostly be playing on LIVE there is still nothing like getting together every once in a while to eat a whole pizza, drink a crap load of Coke, while killing the your friends sitting right next to you. They would not get rid of that. Plus many tournaments that I know will be setup using Halo and Halo 2 need system link to work. Yes co-op will absolutely be in the game. I believe it will be split screen with 2 people on 1 box for co-op or over system link and/ or LIVE. They won't let DOOM 3 be the only game that supports that.

But that is my worries I fear that they removed the split screen co-op!!!!! Which is what my entire post is about.

Granted the second questions focused on LAN parties.

SPLIT screen Co-op. One Xbox, One game disc, 2 players.

Don’t assume anything. Look at rainbowsix 3

True but R63 didn't have a game made for the Xbox previously. They could not see the impact split screen co-op made for gamers. That is why they incorporated it later on in the PS2 version. Halo on the other hand broke co-op wide open and every other game since has tried duplicating it. They would not let that go, they will absolutley have split screen co-op for 2 people on 1 Xbox.

Dude, if that were true I would have to have your baby.

But why has there been no mention about Co-op. If it was in the game you think they would say something about it. I have a lot of friends that bought the xbox only because of halo. Some friends even own there own controller but do not have xbox, this way they can come to my house and play.

Granted some people would think well if we don’t add in split screen co-op people will have to buy two copies of our game to play with a friend that means more money for me. Mwhahah Mwhahaha… and from that monument on I would never buy another bungie game.

Now I may still play one of there games from time to time but I would not purchase one if you know what I mean…… I would rent them :)

I believe that in the second, instead of just throwing co-op on at the end, with the sloppy cut scrteens etc. they are actually intergrating it into the game and the story etc
