Is 'One of Seven' exclusive to swag bags, or were they randomly sent to anyone who ordered something from Bungie's 20th swag? Will there be futher chances to participate in the promotion, Or has the Destiny of the Seven been chosen?

* Ticket; Two of the Seven have come from Bags O' Swag.

Almost a ghost.

This intrigues me.

The article is pretty vague, where did you hear it was linked to Bungie 20th Swag (all swag, including bags)? I couldn't find anything on how to register/enter.

Wow pretty interesting. Like Skeltoro said, it's pretty vague, other than something "extraordinary" will happen on Bungie Day 2012.

It was shown in a swag bag unboxing video. But the original poster took the video down because they feared disqualification.*

I guess it might be just from swag bags. In the HTML code, the article says it went up on 7/14/2011.

2012? looking ahead much?
No kidding.

After looking through the article, I saw this part:
ALL COSTS NOT SPECIFICALLY ENUMERATED IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES (INCLUDING TAXES) ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. Winners may be required to provide a Social Security number or Taxpayer ID prior to the awarding of any prize. All prizes will be awarded and are not transferable. No substitutions are permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value to the prizes.

It saying that "All costs not specifically from the competition are the responsibility of the winner" and the "Provide information including Social Security Number and ID" makes it sound as if Bungie will be flying the winners somewhere.

People may have to pay for food outside Bungie and other stuff, and providing information for something like a plane ticket.

Sounds like to me that someone might be getting a relatively free trip to Bungie Studios, might be getting an early look at their new game too.

What makes me say that they may get an early look at the game is the part of the article were it says "the user has to be 17 years of age or have parents consent". Typically the age of 17 is the minimum age to play Mature rated games. I'm also guessing that Bungie's next IP would be a mature rated game.

It can be seen here:
Entrants may be asked to supply a valid email address as part of the eligibility process and such other identification information as is requested. Each Entrant must be an individual at least 17 years of age. If the Entrant is not at least the age of majority in his or her jurisdiction of residence for the duration of the Promotion Period, by entering the Entrant represents that his or her parent or legal guardian have agreed to the entry and have read and agreed to these Official Rules.

@Switchfoot4

Ah, the plot thickens!

  • 07.29.2011 9:47 AM PDT

As I have said in another thread, there will probably be another way, as the article says "no purchase necessary".

HTML says 7/14/2011. They never published it. Some one just got a ticket with a link to it in their swag bag. Now we can see it with the link.

Looks like they were trying to go undercover with it.

Holy -blam!-! that's awesome!

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I don't understand, how do you enter it?

  • 07.29.2011 9:59 AM PDT

It is near impossible to hide things on the internet.

I'm guessing that by what I did read from the One of Seven news page thing, that the only way to enter in it is by having received one of those 7 tickets. We'll have to wait and see.

Indeed, this is the first I've heard of this contest, but I'm now really interested!
