Think it is swag bags

  • 07.30.2011 1:31 PM PDT

We were somewhere around Barstow...

I'm going to fashion my own golden ticket out of glitter and an envelope.

*rocks back and forth*
nice ticket, nice.

We just have to wait for one of Bungie to comment. If only someone sent Stosh a message in his "test" and he read it...

Ooo. This reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Dianna Agron is the epitome of perfection.

Quinntology.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they only tickets were in the Bags. Not one bit. After a year and a half of let downs and failures, why not a few more?

The only good thing is this amazingly soft, beautiful shirt I had to wait a month for.

Oh, and by the way, it must be a reveal of the game if Activision is listed.

You know, I think this thread is a bad idea.

I don't think we should list the people who got the tickets for their sake and the fact must of us want a ticket really, really badly.

The people who get them might be harassed if their identities are revealed on the forums.
They give up their anonymity as soon as they step forward with proof of a ticket.

Their fault, they can deal with the consequences of such an act.

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

2012? looking ahead much?
No kidding.

After looking through the article, I saw this part:
ALL COSTS NOT SPECIFICALLY ENUMERATED IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES (INCLUDING TAXES) ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. Winners may be required to provide a Social Security number or Taxpayer ID prior to the awarding of any prize. All prizes will be awarded and are not transferable. No substitutions are permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value to the prizes.

It saying that "All costs not specifically from the competition are the responsibility of the winner" and the "Provide information including Social Security Number and ID" makes it sound as if Bungie will be flying the winners somewhere.

People may have to pay for food outside Bungie and other stuff, and providing information for something like a plane ticket.

Sounds like to me that someone might be getting a relatively free trip to Bungie Studios, might be getting an early look at their new game too.

What makes me say that they may get an early look at the game is the part of the article were it says "the user has to be 17 years of age or have parents consent". Typically the age of 17 is the minimum age to play Mature rated games. I'm also guessing that Bungie's next IP would be a mature rated game.

It can be seen here:
Entrants may be asked to supply a valid email address as part of the eligibility process and such other identification information as is requested. Each Entrant must be an individual at least 17 years of age. If the Entrant is not at least the age of majority in his or her jurisdiction of residence for the duration of the Promotion Period, by entering the Entrant represents that his or her parent or legal guardian have agreed to the entry and have read and agreed to these Official Rules.

Clearly its to test their next IP, that's why its for next year because it won't be ready this year. The "extra costs" are probably for the plane ticket, etc to get to Washington.

If you can't trust yourself, then don't trust anyone.

Just found out about these golden tickets, could they maybe have been put in something else other than swag bags?

Loose talk is noose talk.

I'm glad I didn't buy a bag o' swag. I wouldn't want to be subjected to this.

Good luck, you seven brave souls.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Yeah, isn't it "funny" how everything is happening and I made a thread about this months before it was announced.

What a coincidence. :p

Well I am just putting two and two together. Remember when Urk said: "The best bags are yet to come?" I think this is what he meant. But it's just a guess, and that's where I put my bet.

Bungie is a place of business, not some fun house or amusement park.
