In Halo CE, Master Chief made his way to the control room while Johnson and Keyes were on their way to the "weapons cache."

For some reason, Johnson was in AotCR, and even had some significant dialouge when he flew over the bridge in his Pelican.

I was wondering, with the upcoming CEA game, and all of its visual remasterings, will the Johnson inconsistencies remain, or will they replace his overused CE Ai with another marine instead?

Discuss.

I thought it was Pete Stacker in the Pelican?

"Defiant Reclaimer, he who will shatter the land and break the sky apart..."

I doubt they'd replace him, as 343 claim not to change anything but the graphics and terminals.

And the music. I don't see why changing a little nick like that would be bad.

Oh yeah thanks for correcting me. They could just edit out the bit where he says he's going to the cache -so he can keep his dialogue.

Imagine a triangle. It's perfect, but a little plain. You take a chisel, and carve a small decorative symbol into it to make it a little more interesting. People like it, but it could use a little more.

So you then take a sledgehammer..

To be honest, there are about a million "Johnsons" in CE.

They're flash clones, that's why they die so frequently and easily. /canon

Exactly my point. I was wondering if they planned on removing the Johnny clones and replacing them with other Srgts. or marines.

On AotCR, the Pelican that flys overhead contains Johnson and his dialouge. Stacker might be on the same level somewhere, but as far as I know, he isn't in that Pelican.

my memory is boggy because i haven't played that level recently (I stick to the library and 2 betrayals) but he didn't sound like johnson at all to me.

I am looking at the dialogue for that mission now and nothing is even indicating it was johnson.

In CE, Johnson was the sarge character who always showed up.

The only true canon places he was at (that I know of in the game) is the intro cutscene and in 343 guilty spark. Maybe in halo when he get's evacuated.

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

Bungie just used the johnson or stacker model for when there was a large group or marines that needed a leader. As far as I'm concerned the only johnson models that are canon are the one at the beginning, maybe the one on Halo. Not sure if The Flood says anything against that, and the one during the cam scene.

so I guess now we have to eliminate the "legendary ending" johnson too? Not a chance in hell.

  • 07.29.2011 1:25 PM PDT

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

It was a simple oversight on bungie's part. But you are right, Johnson was at the library area part of Halo at the time.

Weapon of Oppression

There should be a skull where when activated all marines will be Johnson, so that way, there will be no more token minorities in the game but will be the majority.
*happy face*
