In jedem system der Macht gibt es korruption.

Det vore klokt att tro att det inte finns några undantag.

Do not post, e.g. do not discuss in any way shape or form.

If Bungie removed the rule the Flood would be more mental then usual.

I kinda agree with the OP.

Marijuana is something that isn'l illegal in all states or countries.

And did you receive a warning before being banned? If you didn't then the mods have problems.

Seeing how Bungie is based in USA, and that makes up almost their entire market... I have no sympathy for you.

This site is in only English because it is trying to appeal to English speaking countries (and their citizens). And in all of them Marijuana is illegal.

Bungie's headquarters are in the USA.
Bungie's servers are in the USA.

Therefore, Bungie must follow the rules/laws of the state, as well as the country.

Also, from the code of conduct:

Render Unto Caesar
Bungie does not permit behavior or content related to illegal activities. If you violate the law, you will be responsible for the consequences. You agree not to use Bungie Web Sites to publish, post, distribute, or disseminate defamatory, infringing, obscene, or other unlawful material or discussion. This includes, but is not limited to, child -blam!-, bestiality, incest, illegal drugs, software and other forms of piracy, racketeering, money laundering, blackmail, murder, prostitution, slavery, lumpy pudding (if its not illegal, it should be), fraud, cannibalism, theft, vigilantism, harassment, and acts of treason.

Should I be forced not to discuss it because it is illegal in other places? IMO, no.
This website is not your country.

I shouldn't have to research if something is illegal in any part of the world before I post about it.You should if you're posting on a website of another country that enforces rules based on it. Common sense should have kicked in there.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

That you had to specifically notate that it's legal in your country is a strong indicator that you were fully aware that it is illegal elsewhere and that that is the foundation of that rule here on B.net.

You knew you were bending the rules and thought you might be an exception and found out the hard way that you were wrong. No one here is going to feel sympathy for you.

You bring up N. Korea as an extreme example, but being as Bungie is not based in NK and you do not reside there, it's an irrelevant example.

False. Marijuana is legal in 15 states for medicinal purposes.
It's illegal on the federal level in all 50 states, regardless of those state laws.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Updated (Or should be at least)

Do not discuss illegal substances or activities that are illegal in the U.S

Yes, but not for personal use. There is such a slim number of people who use it for medicinal purposes, that posting about it and hoping it would be relevant is ridiculous. Also, talking about it provides no discussion, and will lead to flame wars that either a) bash the government, or b) bash the people posting in the thread. Neither of these are things that Bungie wants represented in THEIR forums.

Also, "Bungie controls everything, you have no rights."

Let's look at it in this light; Bungie controls everything. You have no rights. Play nice, don't be a jerk.

That means no discussion on controlled or illicit substances, regardless of where you live. If you want to discuss stuff like that then there are plenty of other places on the internet or in the privacy of a group forum but it is not acceptable to discuss it the public forums.

Well I think Bungie should at least add clarification to what can be discussed and what cannot. Like a list.

Do you know how long that list would be? It would be hundreds of pages long; nobody in their right mind would read it.

Its called ambiguity, and it is necessary.

We tried that and it does not work, it just gives people too many little loopholes to attempt to stagger around. The rules here are now very straight forward and rely on common sense, if you think it will get you banned then it probably will.

I don't understand what's so hard about not talking about illegal activities?

Just use common sense in your posts, and you'll be fine.

I think Bungie was counting on you to exercise some common sense, but apparently that is well beyond your ability to demonstrate.

It should be obvious what the rules cover, stop trying to find a way around them to discuss something. And they said very specifically 'Illegal substances', that in itself proves you have paid little attention.

Well I think discussion of Marijuana should be legal. Since it is actually legal in Bungie's state. What is your opinion on that?

I'll answer for him;

It's illegal for personal use on the federal level.
Federal law overpowers state law.

Did you read the OP? First of all, what is illegal in one place can be legal in another, like marijuana. So I should not have been banned for posting about it because it is legal where I come from. Therefore, not being a "illegal substance".

And don't bash the Flood. They actually have meaningful conversations there. And they would have more if rules about politics didn't keep them down. If you wan't to bash a forum, bash this one because it is full of Bungie sackriders, or bash the Reach forum.

Am I bashing The Flood? No, I am merely pointing out it is a bit crazy in there. Why would that be bashing it? I love The Flood but sometimes it breaks the rules, your story being one such case I'm guessing.

Ok, well what if I had a permit for medicinal marijuana? Then I would be using it legally.
And it would still be illegal for most other people and oddly it would still be illegal even for you on the federal level.

And secondly, lollipops are ILLEGAL in washington. Does that mean that nobody should be able to post about lollipops? Thats illegal. And bungie's HQ is in Washington.Haha, so you found dumblaws.com, I see? Prove it by citing current code, and I'll believe you. Until then, it's just an uncited webpage.

(And if in fact you are using dumblaws.com you'll see that entry is conspicuouly missing the "full text of the law" link that other entries have.)
