Is it going to be Reach or CE style multiplayer? I've heard both things and honestly don't know anymore. Is it like ODST where there will be a campaign disk and a Reach multiplayer disk or will there also be CE online multiplayer built into the campaign disk?

THATS MY COOL MAN I CAN'T TAKE IT OFF!

The multiplayer is all on one disc and will only contain the 7 new maps. Nothing from Noble or Defiant. It's also running off Reach's multiplayer engine, which by then will have received a title update to hopefully make things more competitive.

When did the title update get announced? I must have missed that. Hopefully they remove Armor Lock from loadouts in most competitive game types.

Also; Will there be any kind of splitscreen or LAN party mode with the original CE multiplayer?

The title update's actually going to make it so you'll be able to play normal Reach, and "Classic" Halo through different playlists. It's not addressing any fixes that we want, but hopefully the Classic mode will be more akin to Halo 1/2. They haven't actually told us if it will contain the original multiplayer. Judging by what we've seen from the menu, I doubt it :(

It will be like ODST in multiplayer terms but weather it has the original multiplayer also NO ONE KNOWS.

I wish people would stop referencing ODST. It just breed confusion :( CEA only comes with the 7 new maps. It doesn't have any of the original or DLC maps with it.

Well, let me start my post by clearing out the foggy questions hovering around here.

Halo Anniversary is just like ODST, only on one disc - the one exception though, is that this multiplayer disc ONLY has 7 maps - those from the Anniversary map pack, and nothing else. When you choose the option "Multiplayer" in Halo CEA, it will bring to Halo: Reach matchmaking. More on that in a second.

In Campaign, there is Splitscreen and Online Co-Op. Sadly, do to the Campaign engine being the exact same as the original, the technical limitations on this engine only allows 2-Player Co-Op.

Now for Multiplayer. I will say this right now: IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL PC MULTIPLAYER. You will only be able to access (from what I know) a special Anniversary Playlist that ONLY plays the new 7 maps. To make this Anniversary Playlist more like CE's original multiplayer, 343 is supposedly pulling off some special designer magic in the next Reach Title Update, which we will all here more about during Halo Fest at PAX.

Thank you for clearing that up Xaybiance I was wondering about that myself. Can't wait to hear more about Halo: CEA at PAX for the patch update on reach multiplayer.

It's not camping, it's holding the designated location.

I have seen so many topics on this, someone should just post a link to where it says how it will be and be done with it.

EDIT: I found the Link, It will be on 1 disk with only the 7 remakes(no Defiant, Noble, or Default) and there will be a separate playlist.
