I've looked all over your site to find who to contact about my account being banned on Halo 2. I've called Xbox Live, and they directed me to Bungie.net. I can't find anywhere on your site about who to contact about my problem.

I just logged in to Halo 2 online to find my account has been temporarily banned. I've done nothing in any way, shape, or form to get myself banned. But I do think I know why I've been banned and yet I have no control over it and do not find this fair at all. Whenever I get host in matchmaking, for some reason people lag out or go into the 'blue screen'. The game is extremely laggy to everyone but me. I have no control over this, I don't want to get host because everyone thinks I'm cheating, and now my account has been banned and I have done absolutely nothing wrong. My gamertag is First Hero. Anything that you can do to help me would be very much appreciated.

If you believe you have been wrongly banned from Halo 2 on Xbox Live, e-mail h2cheats@microsoft.com explaining your situation and include your gamertag.

If you have such a bad connection that when you get host everyone else is laggy then you would NOT get host, especially in matchmaking. The only way you would get host is if you were cheating in some way or form.

I'll say it again, I am not cheating, and please do not accuse me of cheating. My xbox is connected with a T3 connection, but it's at college and split so many different ways through-out the dorms. I have to use my computer's mac address to be able to connect to XBL, I don't know why it's giving me host, but when I do get host I think my connection rejects other people's IP's. I'm not a computer wiz, so I'm not entirly sure what is happening.

There are multiple reasons why one would be banned. They include things like playing with modders, swearing, or just being a jerk. You must have done something along those lines.

If you have truly not been cheating, then the most likely reason you are experiencing a temporary ban is because your connection is exhibiting stand-by-like behavior. It's possible that you would constantly lose connection, creating the image that you were stand-bying. If so, the automatic system caught that and issued the normal 7-day blacklisting.

However, this is if you have been banned from Halo 2 Matchmaking. If you have been banned from Xbox Live, then you received enough bad feedback that the system issued its own blacklisting. Usually you don't get bad feedback from being a good person, and if you were screaming or something like that you would have received a mic ban.
