Here's an idea I really think could work.

Troll and spam threads usually get a lot of replies in a short amount of time.

Now, as a companion to the report queue, what if there was a "Suspicious Activity" queue that listed the top 25 or 50 active threads, as in the number of posts in the shortest amount of time.
The moderator can then view the thread from the list and go from there.

Why not have forum specific moderators!? Have one or two for the less busy forums, and maybe three or four for the busier forums. I guarantee you this would work.

I have to say, this idea should have been put into place some time ago. It's as simple as telling a moderator that he/she has one forum they should try to check in on regularly.

No, because they won't.

They need to have moderator tools for only that forum.

But remember there are several threads which are good out their and get many replies at one time, maybe more so than troll threads which would result in time wasting on the moderators behalf instead of using the report queue.
I guess there are pros and cons to this idea

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

1) Time wasted would be minimal
2) it's not like they ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO USE IT OR ELSE

Even though I'm not a moderator, I still find that offensive and rude to call them "Lazy".

Exactly.
If it's a good thread they hit back, click the "this thread is OK" button and then check the next thread. It wouldn't rely on people to report either, so it's automatically more efficient.

Okay, recruit new forum-specific mods.

There really were 11 images out of the many that did contain actual intercourse being depicted in them and that by definition is hard core I believe.

Now as for how I went about dealing with those images I now truly wish I would have taken it up with you before I contacted the admins.

If you're talking about me, no. I've been in favor of that idea for some time.

But that doesn't solve people posting in the forums (that is trolling and flaming in the forums) which happens a whole lot more

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

I just wish the precious Universe Forum would get some attention.

Wait... this has never been implemented? Oh God.

I thought every forum community had their mods assigned to special forums. Oh wow :\

This couldn't be the way to approach it.

The moderators would have to be allocated based on their experience. New moderators would need to be sourced from their target forum.

Here's an idea: Why don't we take the flood and reach forums, and move them somewhere else?

Your idea isn't a bad one but it does not take in all factors such as in thread spamming, flaming, and trolling. Your idea only helps the moderators with threads created

Generally, you can only see those after people hit 'submit'. I have no idea what you are going on about.

I mean that after a post is submitted and is a form of trolling, flaming, or spamming it is not dealt with unless it is report by other members of the community. Skibur's idea doesn't cover in thread posts which are against the rules.
Don't get me wrong, Skibur's idea is valid but there should be another system which dedicates itself to posts inside a thread which are against the rules
