is this pushing my power supply to hard i have a 430 watt psu i am running a phenom 2 x4 and a single 1tb hard drive and 3 ddr3 2gb ram dims id like to run a gt 450 nvidia recommends a minimum of a 400 watt psu.

Personally, I'd go with a power supply that is 20% higher than the required amount. Since your minimum is 400W, I'd go with a 480W< Power Supply. That most likely means you should get either a 500W or 550W.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Honestly, you can't really shoot too high on this, but my rule of thumb has always been that if you want to use a decent video card, go with something 600w or more.
