i STILL want recon for halo 3..

Okay, in response to some party pooper who thinks all we talk about is getting endure(in which I'm in the process of trying to obtain). I say you're right. There is more to the game than getting that, but if the game had matchmaking it wouldn't be so hard to come up with new stuff.
Anyways I love the game way more than Reach because it has more story than it. Characters are downed to one liners, they feel and have real emotions. In seeing things in their own eyes you see how they react to what's going on.
So tell me what you love about the game, and maybe gripes about the endure vidmaster

i feel the same the story was more detailed and organic lets say. the firefight felt more realitic with larger maps and a defencice feel reach was plain with flat maps where ppl mainly sit by the ammo box and killed wips, odst was trailing the map fighting for yards. i also like the armour in odst 4 the covys better looking for the brutes, hunters and drones. and nothing beats fireing hails of bullets at covys in a mass grave below u in crator

Then it got old really fast.

I have seen you future

The story and cast are great. The gameplay is a fresh take on the classic Halo run and gun, where you are more venerable and forced to play carefully.

You've played over 2000 games. Must have been a good week.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I love it with all my heart. It's my favorite Halo along with Halo 3.

I love how it was an overhyped joke of a game with a terrible capmaign. I just did this mission in the day, so derp now ill do the exact same one backwards at night. Halo 3 was amazing, ODST was a gigantic dump that Bungie took on it. Even Reach's not so good campaign blows ODST out of the water.

blarg, bow chicka wow wow, boomshakalaka,

i found its noir style to be vastly the best thing about it, and the only thing that keeps me coming back. also, i cant explain why, but Firefight was better in ODST

LIKES:
Halo Combat evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, Halo Reach.

MOST HATED COVENANT:
Skirmisher.

This game changed my life forever...I was ripping my hair out waiting for it as well as its halo 3 brother, now completed both 100% and got all achievements and discovered so much and have all maps, I play ODST more than Reach! its just so fun! : D

I know what you're saying man. I'm fine tooth combing for little tidbits that may have gone unnoticed, like Dr. Halsey being MIA and being presumed dead as seen on a sign in Alpha Site.

We are timeless, bound as one, we cannot be silenced, as our song lingers on.

I personally think ODST's campaign is worth only two playthroughs, one on normal and one on Legendary. Although the story is compelling the whole sandbox idea fell on deaf ears as players simply follow the way-point.

Its good to have a co-op run-through as well to spice things up a bit. But people love and remember ODST for one thing . . .

Firefight!

It may just be an adaptation of Gears of War's Horde but no-one can possibly insult the near-perfection that is Firefight, you can play loads of maps over and over with 4 people for ages without getting bored.

It has its flaws but its still in my Top 10 Xbox 360 games of all time.

I really liked the characters. I actually laughed at the game, that is rare. (its the cutscene with dutch after the warthog mission).

Gameplay was a refreshing spin on the game. Stealth and tactics were needed even on normal.

Only criticism is it can be a bit too dark (even with VISR) and the lack of a matchmaking option for FF.

Yo wazup, HALO longtime fan, LEGENDARY player, cant wait to see the bright future 343i will bring to the halo franchise :)

ODST is my favorite campaign when it comes to the storyline, the music played such a great role in the dark lonely streets of new mombassa that not even reach topped that experience.

This is a RETICULE, and that is a RETICLE. I'm using the latter to aim. And what are you using?

This!

ODST has by far the best campaign of any Halo game. It's dark, moody, and gives you the feeling that you actually accomplish something. And Mombasa Streets, once fully unlocked, is a hell of a fun to return to again and again.

Agreed, I could easily put the game back in just to roam the Streets for a few hours. When the game was first announced, I was so excited about Firefight; however when we actually got our hands on it I fell in love with the campaign. I think that is easily what I love about ODST the most.
