Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Oh no, someone posting something that can easily be forgotten about by ignoring it, woe is me.
It may be easy to avoid, but there will be those people who are curious and complain about it. It would be best to just implement something to stop the alt spam that way people don't haveto complain about alts spamming, and we would never have to have this argument.
No, they should get what was coming to them because they walked right into it.
I really, really hate this mentality. If something like this can be avoided with a few simple, quick methods, why not?
According to your logic, a bullied child gets bullied because he's going the wrong way home. When, in fact, the other kids are just being jerks. Your rational is, in all honesty, skewed and jaded.
I agree, people should be more cautious when clicking links, especially in times like this - I'm in no way denying any bit of that. But what would be the harm in helping the situation? What would be the harm if a few virgin eyes are saved from the horrors? Especially if the code would take about an hour to write, no matter how you look at it - unless Bungie goes the super-complex route.
A whopping 10-20 dollars to protects someones innocence/privacy/computer/mentality/persona/life - I'd say it's well worth the price tag - that is on the assumption that the web team gets paid between 10-20 dollars an hour. If their pay is up to 50 dollars an hour? I, personally, would still say it's well worth the price tag in the long run.
Bad coloration. Anyways, It is not the kid's fault the first time, he could have had zero knowledge of the bully. It is his fault the second, third, and fourth time when he knows a the bully is there yet keeps doing the same thing.
I think a PSA-esque "Don't clock on suspicious links" thing should be done first.
