Subject: Probable Halo 4 story

Yes i know i should have putted this on the Waypoint page and this story could be wrong but just read my argument and give your opinion.
Well as you can see at the ending cut-scene of Halo reach the year is 2589 and Dr. Halsey is talking, but i had seen that she was lost with an spartan team on 2552 or 2553 inside a world very similar to the one on the Halo 4 trailer.
Also in the Halo 4 page says that Master chief needs to save humanity from an ancient evil that will destroy the universe, that evil would be the forerunner AI Mendicant Bias who allied with the flood and had control over the forerunner weapons and ships which are known to make stellar collapse.
So give your opinion and theory about Halo 4.

so probably you have to rescue them by that year and return to reach on the ship that appears on the Halo reach ending. Also in the Halo 4 page says that Master chief needs to save the universe from an ancient evil.

Ok it is not "probable" if it doesn't even make sense and you yourself say it is wrong.

The underlined text= WTF? you really need to learn to write sentences so people can understand them, it looks like a retarded cat wrote that.

And MB never was evil just because he changed sides; and he is the "person" that sent you to the LP in the first place to atone not to mention he protected you.

halsey and blue team get out in the novel Glasslands.

Why return to Reach? And Halsey and Co. could escape by their own means. It does not necessarily have to be due to Master Chief.

Read the Terminals, specifically the very last Terminal on Legendary difficulty. You will see that the only reason the Master Chief was able to make it off the Ark was due to Mendicant's help. Mendicant has turned against the Gravemind and wishes to atone for his past mistakes.

Stopped reading here. I hope you -blam!- die...

That would be interesting maybe not the return to reach thats stupid but chief, halsey, and the remaining spartan II's? that would be cool. If a free copy of ghosts of onyx came with it than everybody7 everywhere7 would buy it.

If you (or your parents) can afford to buy internet,PC/laptop/phone/ipod/ipad, pay that monthly, pay for electricity.

I am pretty damn sure they can buy a ten dollar book.

"On the seventh day, god did not rest, but rather he created 64 player multiplayer!"

To the OP: uhhh, no.

If MB is in the new series though, I would hope they give him a proper introduction since, most players probably have no idea about the terminals, and even if they do, never cared to investigate them.

It'd be weird to meet this AI and have it being talking about how it spoke to you during Halo 3 and confuse the hell out of everyone, lol.

Oops. I think I just lost your mind.

1. Not likely, Halsey & Co. get out of the Dyson Sphere well enough on their own (as evidenced by the promo stuff for Glasslands).
2. OP isn't required to announce that English is not his first language. We don't carry identification papers everywhere or give barcode tattoos.

No sheit anybody can buy a ten dollar book but believe or not casual halo fans may or may not look for halo books on the internet,PC/laptop/phone/ipod/ipad.It would also give the game some story to why there are still spartan II's, Where did Halsey go after Reach, and what type of place are you halsey and the other SII's are at? It would also boost halo book sales because as everyone knows ghosts of onyx was an awesome book and it would convince everyone to buy other halo books. So it would be a decision that is financially good and if your worried about losing profit on ghosts of onyx than just make the game 60$ w/o book and 70$ w/ the book. Give the 70$ edition a good sales pitch and blam! you got the entire halo community buying a lot of halo books (in addition to making a lot of casual halo fans into halo fanboys). Think about it a new york times best selling book in addition to the greatest game of 2012. It would be unstoppable. It could also start a trend to make other games include books as an extra in their games (ie. Call of duty,Assassins Creed, etc.) And as everyone knows microsoft <3's making money so if they bought the rights to the eric nylund's books that would equal more money which in turn would could mean having more money to make even better games.sayyyyy halo 5? I know thats just speculation but there is a chance it could happen. Anyway please reply if you would like to make anymore unintelligent remarks like anyone with more than ten dollars can buy something that is ten dollars. This plan would be good microsoft because they make more money, the gamer because they get to read something awesome that they might not have read yet, and 343 industries who is obviously apart of microsoft and is made up of mostly our beloved bungie employees.

I sincerely hope that answers your question smartass

you shouldn't be looking for the books on the internet because they are cheaper at bookstores dumbass, if you even read what i posted i said if they can afford that they can buy a 10 dollar book. Learn to read.

how i don't think microsoft controls the books like that, not to mention there would still be alot of books left out.

That didn't answer my question because i didn't ask one.

What is this bollocks? I don't know about you, but I don't fancy playing a game where your primary weapon would be rocks and 1 hit would kill you...

Where Halsey went after Reach is explained in First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx, and many Spartan-IIs are on deployments that the other novels are covering. If you're a casual fan then you really have no place in a discussion about deeper plot elements because you clearly know bugger-all about the story.

  • 08.01.2011 11:30 AM PDT

the one who jokes to much

If they just get ghost onyx then the reader wouldnt know what the hell is going on. By the way use paragraphs.

As my point before casual fans don't usually look for halo books but i bet if you gave them one they would want to know more about the story. The reason i chose ghosts of onyx is because I think its the best halo book to date and ghosts of onyx is the most recent book in the halsey and her spartan 2's part of the storyline. What they should of done is include "the fall of reach" book with halo:reach but i digress. and if you played halo reach you might want to find out a little more out the mysterious dr. halsey. and before i continue to prove your points wrong what is bugger all? is that some sort of british saying that brits use when theyre angry? Anyway if your an executive at a game developer wouldnt you want more hardcore fans? This is what adding ghosts of onyx would do. Turn a casual FPS player into a hardcore halo fan. and rocks? who said anything about rocks? theyre heading towards a giant forerunner facility. You dont think that there would be forerunner weapons there? They also are on a UNSC warship (well half of one) there could be weapons there too. Adding forerunner weapons to the equation would be amazing. And dont say there are no weapons on the ship because chief pulls out a some pistol looking thing with a a mini rpg.

Now I love that you are quoting me so i dont have to repost my whole points over and over again

If casual fans want to be casual then let them be, normally the people that go out of there way to do something are more interested in the subject.

You wanna see what would happen if casual fans did everything? go to the waypoint forums.

GoO would be a horrible book to start people off with because it is at the "end" of everything, they should start with reach.

You haven't proven any points wrong and you can use google can you not? And again you clearly don't understand what an example is.

Have you seen the Halo fanbase today? "Lawl, wat is a book? books r for nerds!"

The reason i chose ghosts of onyx is because I think its the best halo book to date and ghosts of onyx is the most recent book in the halsey and her spartan 2's part of the storyline.

So what? Glasslands is continuing that story, the games aren't.

What they should of done is include "the fall of reach" book with halo:reach but i digress.

No, what they should have done is adapted the game to fit the story of TFOR.

and if you played halo reach you might want to find out a little more out the mysterious dr. halsey.

Again, Glasslands is doing this.

and before i continue to prove your points wrong

lolwut? You have proved nothing wrong at all.

what is bugger all? is that some sort of british saying that brits use when theyre angry?

Arrogant little wanker, aren't you?

Anyway if your an executive at a game developer wouldnt you want more hardcore fans? This is what adding ghosts of onyx would do. Turn a casual FPS player into a hardcore halo fan.

You cannot make fans move from being casual to hardcore. It is individual choice. Make a game based only on the most intricate aspects of the Halo universe and get someone casual or who has never touched a Halo game play it they will be out of their depth and confused by what is going on.

and rocks? who said anything about rocks? theyre heading towards a giant forerunner facility. You dont think that there would be forerunner weapons there?

The way you were speaking in your previous post made it sound like you wanted Ghosts of Onyx to be a game, which would be moronic.

They also are on a UNSC warship (well half of one) there could be weapons there too. Adding forerunner weapons to the equation would be amazing. And dont say there are no weapons on the ship because chief pulls out a some pistol looking thing with a a mini rpg.

Why do you assume I'm going to say there aren't any weapons on the ship when I saw that he pulled out a weapon from the ship?

Now I love that you are quoting me so i dont have to repost my whole points over and over again

The wonders of convenience. Now everyone can see how stupid you are without you having to repost anything.

  • 08.01.2011 12:08 PM PDT

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

The OP's story idea is absolute crap.

  • 08.01.2011 12:10 PM PDT

First of all I havent met anybody who said lawl what is book books are for nerds. And if this main fan base who supposedly has no idea what a book is, what is the point in even making halo books? And if these books werent for the main fan base how in the heck did it become a new york times best selling book. how strange that a book meant for supposedly a couple people could become a new york times best seller.
Your opinion of basing Halo:Reach off of the book would have been the exact same thing as making a movie off of it except a lot more expensive time consuming and would not have introduced anything new to the franchise.
Yes it is true grasslands is also continuing the halsey story line but what better way to promote grasslands than to have the precursor of it. Besides this imaginary main fan base of yours that doesnt know what a book is wouldnt buy grasslands because they havent read any other halo books.
Also its not forcing gamers to become hardcore gamers. They will be convinced after reading GoO. If people read Ghosts of Onyx they will say "gee this is a good book i wonder if there are any other books like this one oh wait there are!" then said gamer will buy other books (ie. First strike, Fall of Reach, The flood, Cole Protocol, etc.) turning them into fanboy and boosting sales for microsoft
Lol love the arrogant wanker bit hilarious if your from britain. Fortunately im not from britain. and you still did not answer my question what is bugger all?
Have you even read ghosts of onyx? They arent even on the forerunner facility until the end of the book.So how did i imply in anyway that ghosts of onyx should be a game because it shouldnt be a game. As good as the book is it has a lot of dialog and halo games have more fighting than dialog. But its ok that it has a lot of dialog because its a book and it wouldnt be interesting book if it just bang bang bang of an assault rifle and no dialog.
The reason I assumed you were going to say there werent weapons on the ship is because you might have said "The part of the ship with the weapons might have fallen off" which then I would have to call you a retard and we would not be having a conversation anymore.
I dont use the quoting application on this site does that make me stupid? I wasnt being sarcastic.

  • 08.01.2011 1:12 PM PDT

You see grey 101 casual fans dont spend as much money so why not attempt to convert them and if my plan was followed than they wouldnt be casual anymore they would be hardcore gamers
