Subject: How much banning power does Bungie have??

Who is now credit banning/perm-banning people on Reach Bungie or 343??

I am just wondering who has the power at this time till 343 takes full control.

lolnope.

It's an automated system that does all of the banning.

I know but then I guess the real question is who controls the system and keeps it up to date.

See I just had to rephrase my question. It makes you think who has the real power now.

It is an automated system that Bungie wrote the rules for. Until 8/2, we are responsible for its operation. On 8/2 and thereafter, 343i is responsible, just like they are for the rest of Halo. They will be in charge of not only keeping it running, but editing the banning rules as they see fit. It is their call how they want to handle that kind of thing.

So, yes, that means that you'll have to complain to them about your "bans for no reason" starting tomorrow.

So Achronos, I bet your excited about tomorrow. I can't wait to see your first post that says "Go whine to 343, its their call." About time to, the haters can go vent to 343 now.

I can't help but wonder if 343 Industries will alter the ban qualifications(ie maybe alter mute bans or the like). Its going to be an interesting transition to watch them completely take charge. Hopefully there won't be any hiccups.

Perhaps they too will one day rival Bungie's power.

I'd say, given the calendar, if it has already happened, you might want to just head over there now.
