I <3 you too Bungie

I'm sure Bungie has metrics on what browsers members are using on Bungie.net. Funny correlation to be drawn: Researchers claim users of IE are dumber than users of other browsers. The actual report shows pretty marked IQ differences. IE users are down in the 80's, while users of Opera, IE w/chrome frame, and Camino are up around 120.

So the real question...what browsers are you using for Bungie.net Community? I'll be truthful--I use Chrome and IE9. IE is leaving as soon as I decide what I want to use for recreational browsing at home.

Edit: See bold.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I use Chrome and I don't think I am dumb.

I know some haters on here will disagree though.

I believe this belongs in The Flood.

On Topic: I use Safari on my iPod, and Firefox when on a PC.

I dont know what IQ has to do with preference for a webbrowser, seems quite idiotic to me IMO I use Firefox cause of the multiple plugins.

LIES. FILTHY LIES.

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

Chrome sucks etc.
I think it's a simple matter of who uses the internet frequently enough to want to get a better browser and who doesn't.

  • 08.01.2011 12:04 PM PDT

I think it could just be that people who use computers less would tend not to download a new browser for their PC, where electronic usage in this day can easily correlate to knowledge quantity. Simply put, smarter people use different browsers because others may not need a use for one or don't care about the differences. On a side note, even though you're asking the community about this, it belongs in The Flood as it's not about Bnet.

Hmm, interesting study. Though the critical part of me ventures that IE would present lower IQ scores simply because it's a fairly basic, casual, nonexclusive and ubiquitous browser.

In any case, I use Safari.

Meh, this relates to the site--that's why I posted here. I'm sure The Flood would reply like mad, but I wanted to talk about bungie users here.

I just prefer IE to the other browsers. If I knew of a better one that works better for me, I'd use it instead.

Those results have to be cherry picked. I know a lot of smart people who use IE. Plus, it comes with Windows, so a lot of IE users are just people who are too lazy/not technically savvy enough to look for other browsers.

It relates to people using browsers, not to Bungie.net. People's browser preferences don't involve Bungie.net at all. Also, the Flood is always mad.

Gray socks are best socks. White is second, black third. Every other sock color is simply horrible.

I'm using IE now, but because FF is derping for me. Mostly I use FF though.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Firefox and Chrome, and I have an IQ of around 140 maybe.

I use the new IE. Apparently Achronos uses the same thing, I guess he's pretty dumb huh?

140 is the I.Q. of a legal genius, which is about .25% of the worlds population.

If I recall, he said that Bungie.net was designed for use with IE. Therefore, he's using it for conveinance, and because it is the best browser evar.

Bungie.net (currently) does seem to look/work best in IE9.
