Subject: I love Halo 3: ODST.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Alright, apparently the Halo forums will be gone soon. I don't know how soon. However, Halo 3: ODST, has provided me with a great experience and something I truly enjoyed. I just wanted to post this as a little tribute to all the great things we got to experience courtesy of this game. Just one last shoutout before the forum is gone.

*Raises silenced SMG*

A small addition for musical pleasure.

#1 Legendary ODST Firefight Highscore

[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)]

Me too!

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Agreed. ODST is one of the best Halo games, everything about it is just fantastic. The sublime soundtrack, the captivating campaign, the stunning noir atmosphere alone in the city at night with that beautiful skybox, and my personal favourite thing is Sadie's Story - pretty heavily inspired by Dante's Inferno.

T'was truly an excellent game that's so notoriously cast aside by "fans" who only care about the multiplayer of Halo. ODST is a game for the true fans, that much is clear, because only the true fans can appreciate it for what it is - a work of art.

my favourite part was exploring the city at night, the soundtrack was awsome and the audio files made the atmosphere even more intence.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I agree with you completely. It's nice to know there are people like you out there who appreciate ODST the way it should be appreciated.

Well -blam!-. I just made a giant post and it got deleted. -blam!-.

Anyways.

ODST, you were the best Halo game. You really brought me into the game.

You're music is some of the most amazing music I've heard my entire life.

Congratulations ODST. In my mind, you weren't an experiment. You were a fully fledged game.

I'm in the same boat, couldn't have said it better. the only thing i wish is that it had been PC, so that people could've modded/extended it. because all i want right now is more ODST.

It's not camping, it's holding the designated location.

After becoming president of Norway and DJing at a night club in Botswana, I flew to Nicaragua to spend some time with those less fortunate, and finally finished my day with a good well-rolled cuban.

Mainly people didn't like it, because you weren't John. ODST had an awesome campaign. Tells you what happens on Earth while John is out defeating the Covenant

Agreed ODST was great. Im glad to see some people think for themselves and dont just hop on the "I HATE ODST" bandwagon

So if 343 takes over Halo will they be allowed to fix firefight by giving us matchmaking ? If so Ihope they do. Its unlikely but it annoys me.

  • 08.04.2011 12:07 PM PDT

(Bungie > 343i)

I highly doubt we'll ever see matchmaking for Halo 3 ODST's FF. 343 is way to busy working on Halo CEA & 4 to mess around with something like that.

This. Also, I think no FF Matchmaking is better. You're better off playing with a group of friends on your friend's list then randoms. Just my opinion.

  • 08.04.2011 12:28 PM PDT

I agree its unlikely. But its annoying when you have no friends who still play ODST.

For those who Volunteer to come,
to list and fight and fall today

Agreed, very underrated game.
