Subject: Buying Games with Aerospace through Bungie store...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I have an android phone and connecting to android market for me is hard becuase I don't have a data plan (but it is a smart phone that can play games).

So, could we buy Aerospace games via Bungie store?

The games would be listed in a section of Bungie store based on Iphones and Android devices.

You simply buy, then a prompt asks for your phone number and you get the game sent to you via message.

And, we then download the game and can play it.

Is that possible? I have seen other companies do it.

Don't all smartphones have Wi-Fi anyway? Hook up to your router.

I didn't even know that was possible.

It'd be wiser just to add a data plan, even if it is only like 200 MB a month. It would be better for you in the long run.

It is possible, it sends the download via message to your smart phone.

It is possible, it sends the download via message to your smart phone.
Which you then have to download the app through... you still need a data plan or wi-fi connection.

I can get Wi-Fi but I don't have a data plan.

But, if it sent to you via phone number, it is just a matter of downloading the file in the message.

I don't think an app developer would message you an x megabyte app. That would cost them a fair deal of money. Even just a basic alarm clock app on my iPod uses 7MB. To send a 7MB message would cost a lot of money. No, what they send you is a download link. You still have to have roaming or wi-fi to download it.

Woah...I didn't even know that you could get a smartphone without a data plan. Why would you do this?

Regardless, it would take forever to download something through the network how you're describing it. The best would be to just hook up to wifi and download the game when you can. Plenty of stores (Mcdonalds, Starbucks, etc.) Have free wifi available.

Since the Bungie Store is an online store, you need to have a connection to the internet to access it, be it Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G. So, if you're at an area where you have access to the Bungie Store, why don't you just download the game?
