Somebody should mod a Halo game where all the players start out with no weapons at all (or a spent weapon). There are no weapons or grenades in level. The only thing they would be able to kill each other with would be their fists. They would have to melee other players, thus making it an all out fist fight.

Any ideas or comments?

I'm all about the melee. Take's some skill to time your swing's properly.

Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

Halo is not really set up for hand to hand, the way say Oni is. Melee is a one trick pony. It works better if it's 3rd person and there are more moves, (kicks, spins, jumps, etc).

I played a server like that once, except there were grenades. Grenade fest, it was.

I would absolutely love that. I am so horrible at meleeing it's not even funny. I would soooo love to have melee practice so I could finally figure out when to swing, factoring in the lag.....

I really wish you could melee without holding any weapons in Halo and Halo 2.

But meleeing in Halo PC is kind of difficult, and in many cases not practical, because of the fact that there is lag, your melee many times will not connect to your opponent if he or she is moving. Sure, I've successfully taken down opponents on the battlefield, but it's not that practical if you have a weapon.

I'd love it. It takes skill to charge, smack and back up before the other person can do anything. It's a good fight of quick thinking!
