If you've played Battlefield 2, you'll know that there's a "Battle recorder" that records the entire game for you to watch later. Should Halo 2 have something similar?

I say yes. It would be uber 1337 to be able to watch your past games and see where you need to improve in your tactics.

The recorder should let you watch the game from two angles: First person (you get to see the battle from their perspective, down to how much shields they had, to how much ammo) and free mode, which lets you move the camera around the map.

Hell yes. One of the coolest things about Myth and Marathon are that you can relive that time when that dwarf was cut down by arrows just as he was throwing a molotov, and it bounced down the hill into the enemy's ghols, which happened to be carrying a pus packet and a satchel charge, and the ensuing explosion took out half of their archers and paralysed the rest, allowing your berserks to run in and cut down the rest, winning the game for you. And reliving the ensuing trash talk.

Er, not that that's happened to me before... <_<
