Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

If your 360 is backwards-compatible then yes you can still play Halo 2 locally and on LAN. You can no longer access any Xbox Live features from it like the friends list, messages, matchmaking, online customs, and downloadable content from the marketplace.
All you need is a xbox 360 that has a hard drive that's at least a minimum of 20gb. If you do, then it will be backwards compatible. To play online with friends or against others just use xbox connect or xlink kai. Just note their is a minor image ghost because of the emulation software that's used to play Halo 2 on the 360, either reload a checkpoint or restart your xbox when that happens. Enjoy playing Halo 2 and don't forget about the easter eggs that's in the game.
