Walk up to her quietly from behind and breathe heavily on the back of her neck and whisper "amore"

Their next game better have rocket boots!

I made that up.

I don't think that its necessary to quote 6 other people in a post.

Anyone else want this?

I like the number of quotes as it is right now. I just think people need to learn to remove unnecessary text when quoting others..

Quotes can be used in other ways than simply giving a reference to a user's post.

It can be used to split someone's post into multiple parts for example, if you wish to answer each part separately. It can also be used to list something within from post while keeping it apart from the main body.

Limiting this number further than it is at the moment is unnecessary as it will cause problems when using the other applications of quoting.

No need to limit it. Lol, look at me being so sarcastic and ironic, la de da de da.

I think the OP is only talking about quote trains, not total amount of quotes in one post. I'd have to agree with the OP on this one. I've been to other forums which only allow one quote per "train", but you can do as many separate quotes as you want and I don't get lost in the conversation or experience any serious problems.

Gray socks are best socks. White is second, black third. Every other sock color is simply horrible.

We all should have quoted each other, just for the OP.

OT: Its fine at 5.

What spectagon are you in?

I think it's fine how it is now. Yes some people need to learn to remove unnecessary text when quoting, but it's not that big of a problem. If the quoting was limited to only 2 per post and I wanted to reply to 3 or more people I would then have to 'double post', which would be a whole new issue.

No. It's the only way to have a decent and lengthy conversation and/or argument on a popular thread. If this wasn't an option than we would be asking a guy, "hey, what are you talking about?".

And then the spam filter would catch up with you, the quote system seems fine the way it is.

While we're on the subject of quotes, I should point out that none of you quote the right way. None of you.

Oh, of course... Major derp on my part.

Then yes, I suppose limiting it a bit would be nice. Although I wouldn't go as far as to limit it to 2, perhaps 3 or 4.
This isn't really a major thing, though, so if it stays at 6 (or whatever it's at now) then it's fine.

To be quite honest, as far as I've seen it's quite rare for a quote pyramid to get that big without someone deleting another users post from it beforehand.
