I vote ODST, which is a game, for making me care about the characters.

To me they were pretty much equal , with all of them having different traits that made them better then the others.

I woke up one to find my self in a river of honey. Turns out Osama Bin Laden was right.

Halo 2, it actually had a good plot and a variety of characters.
Plus, it had an Elite side to it's campaign, making it better than Reach, and CE.

reach by far.

anyone who thinks halo 2s campaign is bad is a moron. It had the most missions, the longest levels, the coolest scenery, and the most interesting twists.

1 Halo 2
2 Halo CE
3 ODST
4 Halo 3/Reach

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Halo: CE gets the number one spot for me. The atmosphere was brilliant (which is one of my FAVOURITE things in any form of media), the weapons were interesting, the enemies were fun to fight, the story was worthwhile, and Cortana definitely managed to be the Navi-like character in terms of helping the player BUT WITHOUT THE ANNOYANCE.

ODST was a second. I liked the characters (NATHAN FILLION, ALAN TUDYK, AND ADAM BALDWIN MAKE ME HAPPY), the atmosphere again was fantastic, the city provided an interesting setting, and I liked the idea of exploring an abandoned city. I really wish that someone would try this idea again.

Halo 2 for me is third. The game itself was fun, plus the game had Delta Halo and Regret (my two favourite levels in ANY GAME EVER), but the story was lacking. I've heard the game was a victim of being rushed and the game was meant to have levels properly introducing ODSTs, Miranda Keyes, and the Gravemind, so I cut Bungie slack on that one.

Reach is fourth for me. A lot of cool ideas were there, but I think it lacked polish. The story was cool, but it broke the canon set in the books. As a sci-fi nerd, that's a major grievance for me. Still, the campaign's ending was AWESOME, so I cut Reach slack for that.

Halo 3 is fifth. Enh. Compared to the other games, Halo 3 lacked luster. Four player co-op was fun, but otherwise it was nothing special. The fights against the Flood were alright, but that's it. I mostly just liked the SMG.

1. Halo CE/2

2. Halowars

cosign.

2 had the best story.
CE had the best level design (although I must admit Reach is amonst my favorites in this section too)

Wars also had one of the better told stories. A bit cliché, but more in line with the books and I liked that for a change.

3 had the most dissapointing campaign to me. Not because of its leveldesign, but because it was a complete let down in the story department.

Bacon

1. Halo 2
2. Halo 3
3. Halo CE ( CE and 3 comes kinda in the same place in my opinion)
4. ODST, This campaign was really good actually
5. Halo wars
6. Halo Reach.

Seriously Reach was a big dissapointment, it could have been so great. I just keep thinking about how stupid the introduction to the covenant was.. Roflmao. I did not even get the feeling that Reach was under attack neither did I care about reach. They had a good story but made a bad campaign out of it
