Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.
If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.
Halo: CE gets the number one spot for me. The atmosphere was brilliant (which is one of my FAVOURITE things in any form of media), the weapons were interesting, the enemies were fun to fight, the story was worthwhile, and Cortana definitely managed to be the Navi-like character in terms of helping the player BUT WITHOUT THE ANNOYANCE.
ODST was a second. I liked the characters (NATHAN FILLION, ALAN TUDYK, AND ADAM BALDWIN MAKE ME HAPPY), the atmosphere again was fantastic, the city provided an interesting setting, and I liked the idea of exploring an abandoned city. I really wish that someone would try this idea again.
Halo 2 for me is third. The game itself was fun, plus the game had Delta Halo and Regret (my two favourite levels in ANY GAME EVER), but the story was lacking. I've heard the game was a victim of being rushed and the game was meant to have levels properly introducing ODSTs, Miranda Keyes, and the Gravemind, so I cut Bungie slack on that one.
Reach is fourth for me. A lot of cool ideas were there, but I think it lacked polish. The story was cool, but it broke the canon set in the books. As a sci-fi nerd, that's a major grievance for me. Still, the campaign's ending was AWESOME, so I cut Reach slack for that.
Halo 3 is fifth. Enh. Compared to the other games, Halo 3 lacked luster. Four player co-op was fun, but otherwise it was nothing special. The fights against the Flood were alright, but that's it. I mostly just liked the SMG.
