Subject: Why exactly do people not like ODST?

So how come? Personally I think that it is a great game.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Only true fans can appreciate ODST for what it is. The others...complain about the lack of multiplayer.

I don't own it but I just don't like the characters, storyline, and campaign levels so that why I never bought it.I think otherwise gameplay, new weapons, firefight, and multiplayer wise its good.

my gt is Godzillla....i just didnt link it properly

because they took some huge risk with the sandbox and how they formated the campaign

i enjoyed it but its very different from the halo formula that alot of people are fans of the series for

as someone who is is very involved in the story and universe i loved it

JD

my only problem with odst was lack of ammo, it was really hard to find any ammo unless you unlocked all of the supply caches

no problem here - ODST was a great game in it's own right imo.

Most Halo fans don't even understand how the story in ODST fits in

if you don't own it, what do you know about the characters, campaign levels and storyline?

OT: I loved everything about the game. I think a lot of people were upset about the price and let that carry over into their opinion of the game itself.

Remember Reach, remember Noble, remember all who gave there lives for the UNSC, for humanity!
I am of Irish Celtic descent, Bannons were Celtic warriors and i plan on keeping with that. Éire go braugh! Ireland forever! I support the Old IRA Irish Republican Army!
We drop feet first into hell with our weapons held high and looking certain destruction in the eye for the horsemen will guide us.

i pitty the people who think ODST is a bad game. it is one of the best. i dont really feel like going on a rant explaining how it is one of the best but in my personal oppion, here are the Halo rankings highest being the best:
Halo: CE
ODST
Reach
2
3

I just realised that a duct tape brand named 'Duck Tape', with as it's logo a duck, would be a huge succes.

It has the voices of some of the cast of Firefly. Therefore it is automatically ossim.

I can Haz Signature?

Whats not to love, great campaign, good story, and firefight. And every Halo 3 map on the other disk.

Because it had no multiplayer. Nobody cares about the story.
For me the story is the main reason I`m into Halo.

I found it was too easy. Loved it but there is no point in replay for me.

I had no problem with that. i enjoyed being forced to use Covenant weapons. It felt realistic in that sense.

you are a good translator
Idiot can be a hard language to learn, but once you get it down, everything becomes so clear! The whole world will make sense to you.

Because most gamers are brain dead and can't appreciate a good story.

Actually, I find that I'm more invincible without pants, which is why I am not wearing any at the moment.

Most people think it was a rip off because of the $60 price point.

ODST is a great campaign game. Yes it doesn't have competitive multiplayer but you can do co-op campaign and firefight which is what I particularly liked it for. Storyline and missions were excellent in my opinion. Only real drawback was the main game environment which all looked the same. Shame that firefight didn't have matchmaking too.

  • 08.05.2011 12:51 AM PDT

Multiplayer whores.

Also people who don't care about story. I used to just mindlessly skip cutscenes and not give a damn, but then I changed. I realized that this was a great game and actually felt like a special forces trooper.

We need an ODST game.

You and I are alike. I used to just skip through the cutscenes and not even pay attention to what would be going on. Then, I matured and started to appreciating story. I think campaign should be first priority for every game.

Fast cars, hot women, and weapons of mass destruction

Love Buck, love ODST

Couldn't agree more.

I absolutely love ODST. The story, the gameplay, and especially the soundtrack, are all fantastic.

I think the reason a lot of people dislike ODST is because of the lack of its own PvP multiplayer, which, IMO, is a very shallow reason to dislike a game.

I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all.

I think the the group of Halo 3:ODST are equivalent to Master Chief.

  • 08.05.2011 1:51 PM PDT

"Get up and i shall kill you, Again and again!"

"Star Wars is the greatest thing since oxygen, possibly greater.

if i made a typo deal with.

i liked ODST, it was really fun, i liked the campaign and stuff to.

but i didn't buy it because it doesn't have multiplayer (except the mythic disk which i already have all the map packs), and reach has firefight.

before you ask i got ODST from gamefly soo thats how i got to play it.

eventually hen it get really cheap i'll buy ODST.
