mor3 than just numb3rs

If you watch the Vidoc, bungie even admit it was rushed.

It is still a good game and has a very good story, but to succeed as a Halo game more time was required to build in a Match making expierence as well as camapign/firefight.

Formally BOB3415.

The game is good but it did ODSTs no justice. Buck and Dare didn't fit in at all they made the other guys look fru fru with their cheesy love story. Also neither of them had army hair but hollywood hair. Also the dialogue made no sense at all. Almost none of the lines sounded like something a spec ops guy fighting on humanities last planet would say. Reach, Halo 2 and 3 did the odsts justice by making them sound like hardend badasses.
Also the all of the levels before Romeo was wounded were great and then it took on the plot and reasoning of a childrens adventure story. It just wasnt real enough in terms of the plot and the characters' personalities.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Only true fans can appreciate ODST for what it is. The others...complain about the lack of multiplayer.

I though firefight was a great addition 2 halo

Halo is some serious shizz xD

For most people it was down to them releasing a campaign with the already existing Halo 3 multiplayer. For the majority (that majority being dum-dum gamers) saw it as a way to make money, and left it at face value, but i don't see why!

ODST was an amazing single player experience. I loved the characters, setting and the cast art design helped the world to be so immersive. The environments were so dark and looming, it personified the rookies division from his team, amassed by waves of covenant patrolling the streets of Mombasa. It was a little present for Halo fans, diving deeper into the Halo universe and story arch, aswell as providing a decent nibble to keep us going until reach. I thought it was an amazing game, and when you think how they only had 1 year to do it, it makes it all the more impressive! Imagine what they could of achieved in 2 years xD Bravo i say!

I love ODST. One of the most atmospherically brilliant Halo experiences I've had the pleasure to play through; and the soundtrack... some of Marty's best work.

I liked how the story and setting (music, environment, etc.0 were so different from the usual Halo Storyline. You felt so isolated in a dark city by yourself, it was awesome!

Also, I agree with campaign being first priority for a game. i don't really play MM at all unless i beat the campaign.

A lot of people didn't like it because it didn't have Master Chief in it. They think that anything Halo has to have Master Chief.

ODST was a great game, but it was overpriced. That was my only issue with it. Besides that, the campaign was absolutely epic! Best of the series.

The problem with ODST is that it wasn't really a halo type game. All the other halo games are just shoot um up games but in ODST you try to be sneaky. I like ODST just as much as any other halo game but it had a lot of flaws. Here is why people don't like ODST, your not Master Chief, the story wasn't great, no multiplayer, and only 2 player local firefight. I'm sure there are other reasons but that's basically why. I like ODST but it does have flaws, just like all other games

edit: it was overpriced for just the campaign and firefight.
