Hey all,

I just bought myself a Logitech G7 Gaming mouse. Wonderful thing.. costs a bunch, but it's worth every cent.

One thing though, I can't seem to get the horizontal scrolling on the wheel to work. It works in Windows. Maybe someone knows if it's possible to make it work?

You have to make sure you have the correct drivers installed. I couldn't use the wheel on my mouse until I installed the correct drivers. Now I can use forward for zooming, backwards for meleeing and the button itself for crouching. Before I could only use the button.

Check the settings there maybe a switch that turns the wheel off in games or something like that..

Whenever I would put the Halo disk in and double click the icon, sometimes the autorun would have Halo run in the background at the same time. If I had halo running in the background after I double clicked the icon, I could not scroll in the lobby. So just make sure you only have one Halo going and it should work. At least that's why mine would not work.

Em, you guys get it wrong.

The wheel is working, I can scroll up and down, but it's a tilt wheel. This means that you can also move it to the left and the right. You can assign different functions to it in Windows, but for some reason, Halo doesnt recognize those "buttons".

Hm...perhaps Halo doesn't recognize the tilt functions?

Yep I have an extra mouse button that will open the start menu in Windows and it does not work in Halo. I would love to use it as my grenade switch but I can't get it to work. I think Halo only recognizes certain functions on the new mice.

With my mouse it has 7 seperate button function's. In order to get these other button's to be recognized by Halo, I had to first install the software that came with the mouse. Than once I did that, I had to assign the button's accordingly in the Halo setting's. Without the mouse software installed, I could not do that.

Mouse software is installed... Mouse button 4 (on the side) works after I specifically told the Mouse Driver that Halo.exe was a game, but the tilting doesn't work.

Oh well, guess it just doesn't recognize it.
