I am "disgusting" because i don't worship a video game company that hasn't made a good game in 7 years?

wow. you must be 10

As someone who has been with Bungie since the Xbox came out (when I was... 11...) I thought the ViDoc was incredible and a great end to an amazing legacy. Bungie did an awesome job with the Halo universe, and while I am sad to see them leave it behind I am sure that whatever they do next wil be just as spectacular.

The ViDoc brought back so many memories, it was actually pretty incredible.

I remember getting my original Xbox with the Duke controller, and seeing the Halo images on the box only to start playing the game and actually experience its awesomeness. I remember playing blood gulch and stealing all of the scorpions and putting them on one of the hills so that everyone else couldn't use them.

I remember the release of the Halo 2 trailer and how blown away everyone was by the new graphics and the new gun (BR omg!) As more and more details came out it seemed more and more unreal, and I even got my hands on one of the Halo 2 collector's editions by making one of the Blockbuster employees drive to another blockbuster because the first blockbuster had sold my preorder!

I remember seeing that initial Halo 3 trailer where the Chief walks out of the dust, seeing the bubble shield's debut video, and looking for all of the clues and easter eggs in the video. I remember the excitement that surrounded the Halo 3 launch, and that launch was, in my mind, what ultimately set the precedent for launches of games like Call of Duty (even if my mom didn't let me go because it was "on a school day.")

I remember being disappointed with the idea of ODST, and thinking that it was just a money maker. I remember how pleasantly surprised I was with the enjoyable campaign (and how Nathan Fillion was a main voice! chyea Firefly.)

I remember the release of Reach, and how excited I was to be a part of Bungie's final legacy. I remember the epic storyline, and how distraught I was with the loss of each member of Noble 6 (RIP Jorge.)

Thank you Bungie for the legacy you have left behind, and I look forward to seeing you starside!

No no, he thinks its disgusting because you don't worship a video game company that made one of the worlds best kick ass game series Halo.

And before you say something, i'm not 10. I'm a Halo-fan.

And and, before you say another thing, everyone has different opinion.

Another thing, Cheers.

My Construction contains the Instruction for my Self-Destruction through the World's Corruption

I'd just like to express my opinion on the last ViDoc Bungie recently released. It was beautiful! It really showed the truly epic company Bungie is. I love you guys! :D

Really? It showed me that they had mediocre successes with Marathon and Myst, they didn't even cover the perceived flop of Oni,amongst others, and their mishaps with Myst II's coding put them into a dangerous spiral towards self-destruction.

But in order to survive; as they said, they sold their soul to "The Man". They heard the Big Client was needing a major hit to push the market forward for a entirely new console, one that a PC developer is loathe to stoop to in order to develop for, especially with such a gross and cumbersome controller. But just like a prostitute on their last wad of cash, they'd do anything to get money to back up their dying company. And so it began.

Little by little, they began to change a property/license they had and by chance they happened onto developing a game that people loved to play, and even then barely got in multiplayer coding (again by chance) that would also start a firestorm of its own.

Now that they had one success under their belt, they had no idea how to really run with it and barely made the grade to ship the second one, all the while having to cut out certain parts of the game because they never even intended to make another sequel/trilogy out of it.

Clearly this wasn't acceptable to "The Man", and like a monumental freight train that had the momentum of an entirely new universe behind it, they were forced to "Finish the Fight". Finally, they appeared to learn from their mistakes and went full force with finishing the story and truly adding revolutionary features such as Forge and Replay that would forever once again change console gaming.

And now that they grew fat and successful on a chance product thanks to their overlords funding over the years, they no longer needed the big brother who originally saved them from oblivion and they had no problems giving up the license that got them there anyways since clearly now they're such a well developed successful company and they could do this on their own (never mind their sordid past).

But alas, they're contract stipulated they had to give two more games within the license, but at least now they were finally free, so they were doing all their fans a favor by "wanting" to develop two more games within the Licensed framework. But they were going to do it their way. And it appears to show by how creative and original they got with the last two stories and how they were fleshed out, yet the fans themselves scorned them for these last two games for straying too far from past formulas further showing they truly had no idea what the hell the fans really wanted and what made the first game so successful, nor really caring about the juggernaut that had already been started with the License and it's previous stories being branched out into books and other media. But finally in any case, it was done.

Now free from "the Man", the ones that saved them from the abyss, they relish their independence only to sign another contract with yet another "the Man". And so the wheel of time continues to turn...

In all seriousness though, it's been a helluva run for them, and they've become a force to be reckoned with-in game development. Now that they evidently have financial success (Depending on how much "The Man" took of it's own cut) and are well established and have a fully functioning and well developed creative force and the freedom to use it, there's no telling what they're going to be able to do with it next....and they won't have to worry about packaging their own games and re-shipping due to a PC killer bug....we hope.

That Vidoc was very insightful, and very well done. I just want to say, Bungie did an amazing job on all of the Halo's, and I wish them the best of luck in the future. Playing Halo has made many good and funny memories and I still continue to play Halo to this day, and probably will play it for many, many more.

Bungie is pure beast. Marathon, Myth, Halo (dur), even ONI, all kickass games. They've had their fair share of troubles like the Myth II bug and the Halo 2 development issues, but they always come back guns blazing. They also listen to their community, which many companies don't. Love you, Bungie. Now show me your new game already!

I kind of understand why they gave up halo now, but i still can't deal with it. I always thought of the 2 as being too connected to ever exist apart. I feel like halo will never be the same.

Finish the Fight!

I too cried throughout it. Bungie really is just amazing.

I agree. Halo will never be the same. But, we'll see if that is a bad thing or not.
