I'd just like to express my opinion on the last ViDoc Bungie recently released. It was beautiful! It really showed the truly epic company Bungie is. I love you guys! :D

I remembered so many afternoons of packing up my xbox in my backpack and going to my friends house, and all sitting on the couch playing Halo 1 and 2, and I realize those were some of the best moments of my life.

Thank you Bungie.

It was very humbling and sad, even though there were a few WTFLOL moments

Really touching stuff, almost teared up. It's like watching my life flash before my eyes, it's been such a huge influence and part of everything in my last 10 years. I will continue to follow Halo and I will continue to follow Bungie;)

Bungie aren't Gods of gaming OR demi-gods for that matter. Their just a couple of really awesome guys who just hang out, eat pizza, make -blam!- brilliant games, laugh, sing, dance and always think about the community first, and not the other way around.

That is why i like Bungie as a company. They are just really cool guys. Strict, but cool.

  • 08.04.2011 8:49 PM PDT

I almost teared up as well. Especially when I realized that Bungie was founded just a few short weeks after my birth. When I was still real little, I would always LOVE to watch my dad play games on his Mac during weeknights. It was our own special way of bonding. Most nights he played Warcraft or Starcraft, but Tuesday was ALWAYS Marathon night. Marathon always fascinated me a small child, because I was always too terrified of it to play by on my own. I played Warcraft and Starcraft on my own, but not Marathon, hell no, it was too dark, too scary and too full of creepy monsters for my little grade school mind to handle. But I always loved watching my dad play it. It just had this sense that there was this big, dark and scary ship, and every tiny crevice could hold a new terror. But it also captured the big mystery and emptiness of space. The first 2 game console I bought were and N64 and a Gamecube and I loved them. But one day I went to my friend Zack's house, he had an Xbox, and he had Halo, and it was all uphill from there. That same grand sense of mystery and danger and exploration was again being presented to me. I eventually got an Xbox and the Universe of Halo grabbed my imagination and has refused to let it go to this day.

So I just want to thank you Bungie. For through all your hard work and loving dedication you changed my life as I grew up. Your work has allowed me to meet some of my very best friends, friends that I will cherish forever. And it has been one of the greatest factors, that has inspired me to pursue that path of the storyteller, regardless of medium. You've been with me since birth, so I will stay with you until I die, and I can't wait to see what you do next.

see you starside!

Each year has always been awesome.

I like video games.... A lot. So yeah, I'm heading off to LA to study game design and do a little acting on the side. Wish me luck?:]

I want to be witty in my reply, and usually I try my best to do just that.

But I've got to be honest, I've got so much respect for Bungie has a whole, that all I can bring myself to do right now is say thanks. It's odd to me (yet completely fitting) that I can go full circle from barely writing anything about something I don't like if at all (not Bungie related), to writing tons about something I do love, to having so much gratitude towards something, that I have absolutely nothing to say other than a sincere and positive "Thank you".

You guys deserve a serious amount of high fives/fist bumps and I very much look forward to whatever you guys have in store for us in the future.

So yeah. Thank you Bungie.

This ViDoc is a perfect example of why I have been a bungie fan since Marathon and why I have been a BNet member since 2005.
I am excited to see what they do next and I thank them everyday for bring the best game franchise ever know to the world. If god exists then it is a video game called Halo.

You didn't hear it, you didn't see it.

Thank you Bungie. The Vidoc was brilliant and I absolutely cannot wait for what you guys have in store for us next. You truely are one of the greatest developers out there and I don't know what the industry would be like without you.

I didn't shed a tear, but I was very moved. Especially during the Halo 2 part, when they talked about how everything seemed to be going wrong. Otherwise, it was a wonderful ViDoc. It reminded me a lot of all the fun that I've had over the past decade thanks to Halo. Luke specifically reminded me of myself with how excited he got throughout the video.

Halo has been a common link between me and many of my friends over the years, despite how different we became or how far we've grown apart. From the first time I walked into my cousin's house to see him gunning through 343 Guilty Spark and picked up a controller to join him, Halo has been an important mainstay in my life. On Christmas 2004, I joined Xbox Live to play Halo 2. It's been history since.

All I can really say is...Thank you, Bungie. Your ambition, your dedication, and your drive are all things that I aspire to. Your willingness to keep pushing forward in spite of all the hardships you've been through and your ability to continue providing a patient ear to an increasingly-splintering fanbase are nothing short of inspiring. Because of Halo, I've taken up writing in hopes of one day crafting a universe as enthralling as the one Bungie has created. As such, I will always consider Bungie and Halo to be my main inspiration.

Long story short, I love you Bungie. With sincere optimism, I look forward to wherever you take us next. Regardless of how long it takes, I will be there on day one to explore that world. See you starside.

Yeah, I agree. That portion of the ViDoc just reaffirmed my faith in Bungie. It shows how utterly committed they are to making each game better even through enormous adversity, unlike Activision who just settles on filing lawsuits and rehases the same thing year in, year out. I'd just like to say, Bungie, that you are by far my most favorite developer and I have a feeling that this studio is, and will always be one of the best developers in the history of gaming. In Bungie I trust.

Bittersweet describes it so well. This video had me tearing up. It resonated with me greatly. I remember those early days just playing a game with my friend, his brothers and their friends. These days I have many more friends because of the experiences we've shared. I can't thank you enough for all of your hard work and the pressure and anxiety you've felt. Thank you Bungie.
It's like graduation. You're happy to move on, but sad that a great part of your life is over with. However, we're moving with you. Good luck, we look forward to your next project with much enthusiasm. :D

"Somewhere in the heavens... they are waiting"

I probably would have, but I refuse to watch it until they add a subtitled version for their deaf and hard of hearing fans (like me. I know that this vidoc is really long, but I would have thought considering the specialness of this video, they would have done it. But I guess they don't care anymore. They started offering subtitled versions of new released vidocs and other videos at one point, and I was ecstatic, and then one day they just stopped. I have been pleading and pleading for them to start doing it again, and they haven't. Today killed it for me. I'm not watching this one, and it breaks my heart not to.

Oh, man. This ViDoc really invoked some deep things inside of me...

Thank you ever so much, Bungie. May you kick ass ever more.

And i eat chicken!!

Thankyou Bungie! You gave me my first console experience with Halo and I have played thousands of hours since. I nearly cried during the viDoc, now writing this comment I am getting very emotional. I've had 10 years of amazing experiences with HALO and cant believe the magic environment created at the multiplayer LAN's I attended. The next chapter of the Bungie story is about to be written and I will be there every step of the way.

Once again, Thank You, not just for the games but the friends that I have made along the way!

These guys will always be my favorite. I felt so happy after I finished watching it, and seeing all my favorite games I have played since I was tiny really gave me a good blast from the past moment. Beautiful documentary, and definitely showed what Bungie has been all about.

I am quite happy I didn't get one of those bad copies of Myth II though. I knew about the bug and installed it into my computer the other day, had too much memory so it didn't work and I uninstalled it. My dad got the game from Jason himself at Mac World way back.

I think that Bungie in general is the best company the world could ask for, their team is fantastic and gives their best to completing the job, their way of getting feedback from their website, and being a good group in general.

All I could wish for is to be able to achieve my dream, to be able to work at Bungie. I took a step forward these last years and got myself an internship at a game company. After college I will be almost there. Rather proud of myself. Watching them grow is great, but I want to help in the process.
