Subject: Halo 2 Stats Question

When I first started playing Halo 2 online back in 2005, I used a free trial card and the name DaedHead8. After the free trial was over, I wasn't able to extend it. When I did sign up for Xbox Live again, I couldn't use DaedHead8 because it was already in use, so I used DaedHead88 instead.

This week on Xbox Live, there is a sale on changing your gamertag, instead of 800 msp, it's 560 msp, so I decided to take this opportunity to get the extra 8 off of my name. Unfortunately, now that I've done that, all my Halo 2 stats from DaedHead88 aren't appearing on my account, I'm actually seeing the games I played in Halo 2 as DaedHead8.

Here are the two links:

Is there anyway to merge the ~3,000 games I played as DaedHead88 with the ~800 games I played as DaedHead8? If not, is there a way to make the DaedHead88 stats show up under my new name? I played far more Halo 2 as DaedHead88 and I don't want those stats to just disappear. Thanks for any help you can give me.

The Flood's resident metalhead.

Very strange... the stats should merge, however for some reason your original gamertag got corrupted... and the stats still remained.

It seems that you are somehow linked to 2 accounts, instead of just one whos name was changed. Like when I changed my gamertag to what it is now, all of my stats carried. But when you changed your name, it brought your account over to another account instead of just changing the name.

At least that's what I'm getting out of this. Is your friends list and everything else still the same?

I don't think I ever added any friends on bungie.net. Also, when Reach came out, I was forced to make a new bungie.net account, that might be why you're seeing two accounts.
