No developer or publisher with a brain is going to release a title within a month of bungies title except for the only other real juggernaut in the industry (cod) which will be released corresponding with bungies title now.

I don't know that CoD will really be affected since it's basically an annual series. What is more likely is that the new Bungie game will be released between two CoD games.

I will bet my lifes savings and families life that this project will release in a fall season, the smartest release date for the biggest titles is a holiday release.

Bungie is only competing with their team mates at this point.

[Announcement Trailer] Halo: Forerunner

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

Let's hope it's Bungie that benefits from that kind of strength as opposed to Activision. With Jason Jones at the helm, I'm not as scared of this consolidation of power as I, perhaps, should be.

You're crediting Activision with more intelligence than they're worth. But we'll see. Either way, I doubt it'll impact sales much.

Are you joking pal? Are you trying to imply you're idea is better then a multi billion dollar corporation? with people hired specifically to figure out a release date to make the single most amount of money? Which everyone knows is the fall.

Honestly, it's obvious, Sept release for Bungie, Nov Release for IW/Treych

Plus "activision" is not a collective entity with one person thinking

Plus they are pretty damn smart whether you like cod or not.

Whoa there.

I was referring to the way Activision destroys the developers they acquire. (I KNOW BUNGIE IS NOT AN IN-HOUSE ACTIVISION DEVELOPER) They don't seem very intelligent in that regard. It was a bit of a joke. I maintain that it probably wouldn't impact sales all that much, but okay.

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

I doubt they'll word it like that, but it would really make sense if they did.

That seems more 'movie-esque'.

We should know better, because we are better.

That will most definitely draw all sorts of attention from everybody.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

It'd be interesting if Bungie decided to launch 'Tiger' against Halo 4...

I hate Activision for what they did to Spyro. I will never forgive them.

Look at this.

And now look at Activision's version.

They have destroyed my childhood. Why the hell does Spyro now have Down Syndrome? These questions will never be answered. Thanks Activision. Thanks.

I'm just saying.

...Thats why I hate game companies.
I have to get Halo:CEA, AC:Revelations, and Skyrim.
They all come out within a period of I think six days in November.
They all have decent pre-order bonuses.
I have to give up buying Dead Island in September just to make sure I can get these the day they are released.

I'm actually pretty nrevous at what activision's going to do with bungie. I really hope that they give bungie free reigns over their new project, and dosn't force them to make yearly installments like COD with little to no engine, gameplay improvements or innovation. Bungie's definately taking a risk with Activision, but the did it too with Microsoft. We'll just have to wait and watch. But if I don't see any major improvements in bungie's second installment... i'm not buying it.
